  • Publication number: 20220162448
Abstract: The present invention provides a tin-free, room temperature curable silicone elastomer composition, wherein the uncured composition is a putty. The silicone elastomer composition comprises a) an end-capped base polymer, wherein the base polymer comprises a polysiloxane or mixture of polysiloxanes, and wherein the end-capped base polymer comprises terminal di-(C1-4)alkoxy silyl groups; b) at least one amorphous filler; c) 15.1 to 60 parts by weight of at least one spherical filler for each 100 parts by weight of base polymer; and d) a curing catalyst consisting of one or more selected from the group consisting of organic titanates and organic zirconates. The terminal dialkoxy silyl groups of the base polymer can be dimethoxy silyl groups. The at least one amorphous filler can be selected from the group consisting of fumed silica, fumed alumina, carbon black, precipitated silica, precipitated calcium carbonate, surface-treated calcium carbonate and mixtures thereof.

  • Patent number: 10983504
Abstract: This invention concerns apparatus for generating instructions for machines of a manufacturing chain used to manufacture a workpiece. The apparatus comprising a processor arranged to receive a model based definition (MBD) of a workpiece including geometric dimensions and tolerances; receive inputs setting an additive build design for building the workpiece based upon the geometric dimensions; generate additive instructions for an additive manufacturing machine of the manufacturing chain based upon the additive build design; determine a prospective intermediate workpiece product expected from an additive build in accordance with the additive build design; determine differences between the prospective intermediate workpiece product and the model based definition of the workpiece; and generate further instructions for at least one further machine of the manufacturing chain based upon the differences.

  • Patent number: 5478300
Abstract: An automatic pallet handling system for a machine tool is described in which the pallets are formed as lightweight cassettes (10) which can be mounted by means of shaped locating features on the external periphery of a receiving device (4) mounted, for example, for rotation with a horizontal indexing spindle (2) in a vertical spindle CNC machine. A portable cassette-loading system (15) which consists of a chain conveyor (17) having links (18) pivotably connected side-by-side and formed from lightweight extrusions is positionable adjacent the machine or removable to a loading station. The extruded links form features for engaging the same cassette-locating features on the cassettes and a transfer mechanism (50) slides the cassettes from the loading conveyor to the periphery of the receiving device.
