  • Publication number: 20140276413
Abstract: In one embodiment of the invention, a container for storing a medicament prior to use is provided. The container includes a first housing for containing a medicament, a second housing, wherein the first housing is movable relative to the second housing, and an injection member associated with a lower portion of the first housing, wherein when the first housing moves relative to the second housing in a first direction to deliver the medicament, the injection member extends from the second housing traversing a first contaminant barrier disposed at a lower portion of the second housing. The first housing moves relative to the second housing in a second direction wherein the injection member is retracted into the second housing to prevent an unintentional contact with the injection member. In a further embodiment, an actuation mechanism for actuation of an injection includes a rotatable member.

  • Publication number: 20060061068
Abstract: A vibration damper gasket is provided for a vibration damper gasket mounting an airbag inflator within an airbag module such that the airbag inflator may serve as a vibration damper for the vehicle. The vibration damper gaskets include a mounting ring sized and designed to fit about the edge of an airbag inflator flange. The mounting ring generally includes upper and lower retention arms and an adapter groove positioned between the retention arms for receiving the edge of the airbag inflator flange. The mounting ring also has a compression column provided on an outside surface of the mounting ring to allow the gasket to be compression-mounted within a vehicle. The vibration damper gaskets of the invention additionally include at least one inflator ground extending along an inside surface of the mounting ring from at least an upper contact surface of the upper retention arm continuously across the adapter groove to a lower contact surface of the lower retention arm.

  • Publication number: 20050195951
Abstract: A system for restricting telephone calls that originate from a facility includes at least one facility resident telephone configured to originate and present a call signal, a switching office, and a destination telephone. The at least one facility resident telephone, the switching office, and the destination telephone are electrically serially coupled such that a call signal originating at the at least one facility resident telephone is routed to the destination telephone via the switching office. The switching office disables at least one custom calling feature corresponding to the call signal upon determining the call signal as originating from the at least one facility resident telephone.

  • Patent number: 5667241
Abstract: An airbag module and mounting. An inflator is received within the cushion, such that the cushion wraps around the back side of the inflator. The inflator includes an extending fastener, and possibly an extending tab. The inflator, or the tab, is partially retained by a receiving structure on the seat. The fastener extends through another section of the seat, such that securing the fastener secures the entire inflator. Additionally, since the cushion surrounds the inflator, the cushion is also secured. To maintain the cushion in the folded condition, a frangible wrap extends around the cushion and inflator. Upon inflation, the frangible wrap, and the seat covering, are torn by the expanding cushion to permit further expansion. This arrangement eliminates the need for a protective housing for the inflator and cushion. Other mounting arrangements are also provided.

  • Patent number: 5611563
Abstract: An airbag inflator assembly including an airbag inflator and an inflator attachment having a sleeve. The inflator includes an elongated sidewall and an end having a flange stop extending outwardly from the sidewall. The sleeve receives and supports the sidewall of the inflator with the flange stop butting against the sleeve. The sleeve has an inwardly extending resilient tab that faces away from the flange stop and engages a gas exhaust port defined by the sidewall to retain the inflator within the sleeve. At least one stud extends transversely to and outwardly from the sleeve for mounting the inflator attachment and inflator within an airbag module. The inflator attachment further includes at least two spaced-apart pairs of diametrically opposed ribs protruding inwardly from the sleeve and grippingly engaging the sidewall of the inflator. The sleeve also defines gas exhaust outlets, which on different versions of the sleeve may vary to accommodate different types of inflators.

  • Patent number: 5566973
Abstract: The reaction canister of an airbag module assembly is extruded to include a semicircular floor, first and second sidewalls, and first and second end plates closing the ends of the canister, with the floor extending uniformly between the sidewalls, and a bottom edge of each sidewall defining a channel along its length. A cylindrical inflator chamber is suspended beneath the floor of the canister by opposed parallel wings which are integral with the inflator chamber and are insertable into and slide in the channels to a position wherein the walls of the channel are staked to the wings. A plenum chamber is formed between the curved wall of the inflator chamber and the floor of the reaction canister. The plenum chamber separates gas exit vent holes of the inflator chamber from gas inlet passages or vent holes in the canister floor.
