  • Publication number: 20160025090
Abstract: A power end frame assembly for a reciprocating pump that includes a first and second end plate segment each including annular bearing support surfaces configured to support a crankshaft bearing assembly. At least one middle plate segment is disposed between the first and second end plate segments and includes an annular bearing support surface configured to support a crankshaft bearing assembly. The annular bearing support surfaces of the first and second end plate segments and the at least one middle plate segment each have a diameter and are coaxially aligned. The diameter of at least one of the first and second end plate segments is different from the diameter of the at least one middle plate segment to facilitate insertion and removal of the crankshaft bearing assembly from the power end frame assembly.

  • Publication number: 20150159647
Abstract: A stay rod assembly for reciprocating pump assembly is disclosed. The reciprocating pump assembly includes a power section having a power source to reciprocate a plunger. A cylinder section has a chamber to receive the reciprocating plunger from the power section. The stay rod assembly secures the cylinder section to the power section. The stay rod assembly includes a stud and the sleeve. The stud has a first end, a second end, a middle portion extending between the first end the second end, and a shoulder between the first end and the middle portion. The sleeve surrounds the stud and has a first loading end adjacent the shoulder, and a second loading end adjacent the second end of the stud. The sleeve is configured to be pre-compressed and to pre-tension the stud for reducing cycling stresses.

  • Patent number: 8707853
Abstract: A reciprocating pump assembly having a power end housing and a fluid end housing and a cylinder having at least a portion within the power end. A plunger assembly reciprocates between the power end housing and the fluid end housing of the pump assembly, the plunger assembly having a crosshead, a first section limited to movement within the power end and a second section moveable within the fluid end housing. The pump assembly also includes a seal housing disposed within the cylinder, the seal housing having a proximal end adjacent an entrance to the cylinder, and a distal end disposed within the cylinder. A power end seal is secured to the seal housing proximate the distal end and a fluid end seal is disposed within the fluid end housing.

  • Publication number: 20120288387
Abstract: A reciprocating pump housing having a suction valve bore, a discharge valve bore, a plunger bore and an access bore. The suction and discharge bores are disposed on a first centerline and the plunger and access bores are disposed along a second centerline perpendicular to the first centerline. The pump housing includes a first annular transition zone extending between an intersection of the plunger bore and suction bore and an intersection of the access bore and the discharge valve bore. The housing also includes a second annular transition zone extending between an intersection of the suction valve bore and access bore and an intersection of the plunger bore and discharge valve bore. The first and second transition zones intersect along a third centerline perpendicular to the intersection of first and second centerlines, each including a curvature along their lengths to blend the intersections between the bores and reduce tensile stresses.
