Patent number: 7267230Abstract: An apparatus for separating a mixed particulate material into particles of at least two different specific gravities or ranges of specific gravity, wherein the apparatus comprises an air compressor for providing compressed air into the discharge tube, which, through the venturi effect, creates a vacuum in a connecting hose. The connecting hose is connected to the top of a separation chamber wherein the mixed particulate material, which is vacuumed in by a vacuum hose, is separated and the particles fall into a hopper, while the lighter material is discharged from the discharge tube by virtue of the vacuum created by the flow of compressed air. A conveyor can be used to collect either or both of the lower and higher specific gravity materials, and bring them to other locations. A number of different sensors can be added to the automatic unloader valve to determine when a pre-determined amount of material has been collected.Type: GrantFiled: August 1, 2003Date of Patent: September 11, 2007Assignee: Marcor Management, Inc.Inventor: Mark C. Patent number: 7016907Abstract: Role is a comprehensive grouping mechanism used in a directory server. In a client-server directory system, roles transfer some of the complexity to the directory server. A role is defined by its role definition entry. Assigning entries to roles enables applications to locate the roles of a target entry, rather than select a group and browse the members list. By changing a role definition, a user can change an entire organization with ease. Any client with appropriate access privileges can discover, identify and examine any role definition. An enumerated role is one that contains a list of target entries as members. By simply searching for the membership of the enumerated role, a client application will obtain a list of all members that possess that enumerated role.Type: GrantFiled: May 29, 2001Date of Patent: March 21, 2006Assignee: Sun Microsystems, Inc.Inventors: David Boreham, Peter Rowley, Mark C. Patent number: 6785686Abstract: Role is a comprehensive grouping mechanism. In a client-server directory system, roles transfer some of the complexity to the directory server. A role is defined by its role definition entry. Any client with appropriate access privileges can discover, identify and examine any role definition. A “managed” role is one that can be configured to provide search results similar to those available with a static grouping mechanism, i.e., to create a group entry that contains a list of members. Managed roles allow a user to create an explicit enumerated list of members. A managed role is a label stored with a directory entry.Type: GrantFiled: May 29, 2001Date of Patent: August 31, 2004Assignee: Sun Microsystems, Inc.Inventors: David Boreham, Peter Rowley, Mark C. Publication number: 20040146340Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for strengthening tubular members and attaching structures to the tubular member using a hydroforming process. An outer tube is used to provide stiffness and attachment features for attaching the structure to the tubular member without the use of welds. The outer tube is placed over an inner tube and the tubular structure is placed into a die. Oil is injected into the inner tube at high pressures to positively deform the inner tube into engagement with locating feature of the outer tube. In one embodiment, the outer tube has a non-circular inner surface and the inner tube has an outer surface with a shape different than the non-circular inner surface. Plastically deforming the inner tube during the hydroforming process laterally locks the tubes relative to one another while preventing relative rotation between the tubes. In a second embodiment, the outer tube has an outer edge with a portion that is not perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the inner tube.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 23, 2003Publication date: July 29, 2004Inventor: Mark C.
