  • Patent number: 8943911
Abstract: A system for remotely monitoring stratified layers in grease interceptors with a sensing unit for being disposed in a grease interceptor, a wireless transmitter electrically coupled to the sensing unit for transmitting acquired data regarding the stratified layers in the grease interceptor wirelessly from the grease interceptor, and a central server for receiving acquired data transmitted by the wireless transmitter. Data regarding stratified layers can be transmitted wirelessly automatically after predetermined time periods for analysis and display, such as on an internet website. Electronic message notifications, such as emails and text messages, regarding acquired data can be sent automatically in response to a predetermined relationship between acquired data and predetermined target levels of stratified layers.

  • Patent number: 6727496
Abstract: A pancake field asymmetric waveform ion mobility spectrometer (FAIMS) uses radial filtering and detection of selection ion species in a compact pancake package to provide enhanced resolution and fast response time. A sample containing a mixture of compounds is ionized in a chamber and then ion species representing the various compounds in the sample are passed to a FAIMS ion filter. Compensated FAIMS filter fields dictate passage through the filter of ion species of certain mobility behavior and trajectory. The detector detects ions that have passed through the FAIMS filter wherein the filter and detector electrodes are formed radially spaced on facing substrates.

  • Patent number: 4224515
Abstract: An optical shaft encoder system for measuring electrically powered motor shaft speed, including a system for increasing the sinosoidal encoder output waveforms by a multiplication factor, converting the product of the multiplied waveforms to square waves, comparing the waveforms to a reference waveform and generating a correction signal which is fed back to the motor through servo circuitry, thereby correcting errors in motor shaft rotational speed.
