  • Publication number: 20240408196
Abstract: A method of extracting beta-glucan from autolyzed yeast material comprises a pre-wash step with water, an alkaline wash extraction step, a post-wash step with water, and if necessary, a drying step (e.g., spray-drying), with a dewatering and centrifugation between each step. The extraction improves efficiency by skipping the acidic and organic washes common to beta-glucan extraction. It has been discovered that beta glucan products yielded from this process have improved immunological properties, stimulating the expression of several immune-related genes in human macrophages without corresponding levels of stimulation for inflammatory pathways. The resulting beta glucan product can be administered as a supplement or adjuvant to existing anti-viral therapies.

  • Patent number: 11699196
Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a system and method creating secure data in a gas and oil supply chain. The system creates secure data related to oil and gas assets while traversing an oil and gas supply chain. At least one repository system(s), which collects secure data generated by capturing information using a secure observer device, sends the secure data to a gateway which is a part of a global management system or an integrity management system to create clustered events. The disclosure also relates to a system and method for managing and controlling data between entities in an oil and gas asset supply chain, and in particular to an excise tax management system and method to identify and reconcile tax filings, production volumes and operational reports.

  • Publication number: 20230178206
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for generating a brain break alert is provided. The method includes receiving electroencephalographic (EEG) data of a patient engaged in a cognitive activity at a system server from a user device. The EEG data is captured by electrode of an EEG headset, where the electrode is in physical contact with the patient, and the EEG headset is communicably coupled to the user device. Brain energy used (BEU) by the patient is determined based on the EEG data, brain energy available (BEA) to the patient is determined as a function of the BEU and a predefined initial brain energy (BEI) of the patient, where the BEA is proportional to a difference between the BEI and the BEU, and the BEA satisfying a brain break alert threshold is determined, upon which an instruction to generate a brain break alert (BBA) is sent to the user device.

  • Patent number: 11132752
Abstract: The disclosure generally relates to a system and method for managing and controlling data between entities in an oil and gas asset supply chain, and in particular to an excise tax management system and method to identify and reconcile tax filings, production volumes and operational reports. A data management system collects first data captured from a sensor or a data collector and second data provided by one of a subsidiary, franchise and third party contractor. The data management system secures and clusters the first data to generate one of a secure tax report, a tax estimation and tax information related to a key performance indicator (KPI), and secures and clusters the second data to generate one of secure data, a secure financial report related to one of the subsidiary, franchise and third party contractor of the oil and gas supply chain.

  • Patent number: 10438012
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to an interface system and method of interfacing to generate data compatible with an external system in an oil and gas asset supply chain, and in particular to an interface and interface method for generating secure and verifiable data to prevent tampering, injection of unwanted data resulting from an unauthorized access along a supply chain. An interface generates and transforms data in an oil and gas supply chain for compatibility with external systems. Collected data is captured by an industrial control system sensor or data collector, which is transferred in a secure intermediary hardware platform to interface with a software component. The collected data is then modified using a business rules engine to create enhanced data and events created from the enhanced data.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a global management system and method for managing oil and gas assets in a secure manner and for monitoring, alerting and responding to illegal activities along a supply chain. Industrial control systems collect data captured from at least one of a sensor and data collector. A data integration module receives the collected data and transforms the collected data into clustered events, and a control center monitors alerts, creates alerts and provides decisions based on the clustered events. The control center also has an interface configured to provide visualization of the clustered events and to communicate with the data integration module, external operational support and personnel and resources.
