    Abstract: The present invention is an interactive messaging system combining the use of short text messages via cellular telephones with a database and messaging system. Customers are able to type in a message requesting a delivery of a product or service. Additionally a system combining text messages and a database is described allowing users to store lottery numbers and be notified if they have won prizes in the lottery. A system for selecting an appropriate messaging gateway for sending messages to the user is also described.
