  • Publication number: 20250057683
Abstract: A method for fabricating a custom cranial remodeling device for correction of cranial deformities in a subject is described. The method comprises generating a three-dimensional head data file for the subject. Predetermined reference points are identified on the head. The predetermined reference points are utilized to calculate contour lines on the head. A modified head shape data file is generated and juxtaposed with the head represented by the three-dimensional head data file having the contour lines thereon. The modified head shape data file is used to generate a shape for a desired custom cranial remodeling device, the shape having an interior surface to contact the head and an outer surface The contour lines establish peripheral edges for the custom cranial remodeling device.

  • Publication number: 20170152897
Abstract: A twin plate separation system, comprising a pressure plate, an intermediate plate facing the pressure plate, and a spring separator assembly. The spring separator assembly comprises a mounting extending out from the intermediate plate towards the pressure plate. A spring surrounds the mounting, and the spring is biased to push the pressure plate and the intermediate plate apart. The mounting or another fixture can secure at least one drive strap to the intermediate plate. Alternatively, the mounting extends out of the pressure plate towards the intermediate plate, and the spring surrounds the mounting and is biased to push the pressure plate and the intermediate plate apart. In this alternative, the intermediate plate does not comprise a hole for receiving the mounting.

  • Publication number: 20020002008
Abstract: A kinematic coupling includes a male connector (94) and first and second opposed jaws (122, 124.) Each of the jaws is pivotable from a retracted position in which the male connector can be inserted between the jaws and an engaging position in which the jaws prevent withdrawal of the male connector from between the jaws. The male connector is movable between an extended and a retracted position, and is biased towards the retracted position. This provides a positive clamping force when the kinematic coupling is engaged.
