  • Publication number: 20180327770
Abstract: A reduction in the amount of functional PaAos in guayule results in the production of increased amounts rubber compared to the amount of rubber produced by wild-type guayule having a non-reduced amount of functional PaAos. Further, the guayule with reduced amount of functional PaAos are larger than wild-type guayule and thus have larger rubber yield per acre than wild-type guayule. Reduction of the amount of functional PaAos in guayule can be caused by genetic alterations in PaAos. Guayule having PaAos with a specific amino acid sequence produces more rubber than guayule with PaAos having a different amino acid sequence. Thus, one can use the sequence differences as a biomarker for selecting high rubber producing guayule plants.

  • Patent number: 7261219
Abstract: The present invention consists of an inexpensive tight sealing plastic container suited for microwave cooking, top-shelf dishwashing and freezer use. In accordance with a preferred embodiment, the container is provided with two compartments, one large and one small. The container utilizes a dual cut-back closure device of which the retaining bead of the container bottom maintains the container top in a secure position. The inside dimensions of the container top are slightly larger than the container bottom in both compartments. The difference in sizes provides an interference fit and forms a substantially leak proof seal along the inside perimeter of both compartments of the container. The container top provides at least one gripping tab, which facilitates the separation of the container top from the container bottom and permit container venting.

  • Publication number: 20060097400
Abstract: A substrate via pod structure providing reliable connectivity in array package devices. The reliability is attained by providing a protruding metal stud in the via area, with the stud being connected to a conductive metal trace (which provides conductive path to a bond pad of an integrated circuit). Due to the presence of the metal stud, increased area of contact is obtained between a solder ball and the conductive metal trace. In an embodiment, the stud contains a well surrounded by protruding portions. The slopes of the protruding portions lead to enhanced resistance in different directions to various cohesive forces that would be present during mounting operations, thereby avoiding solder ball cracking problems.

  • Patent number: 7032773
Abstract: There is provided a container having both male and female sealing regions disposed about its periphery in a pattern making it possible to seal a container with another container having substantially identical sealing regions. The male sealing regions used in the practice of the present invention may take the form of a U-shaped ridge which is undercut along at least one leg of the U in a radial direction. Typically, a container will be thermoformed from lightweight thermoplastic material giving the U-shaped ridge considerable flexibility. The female sealing regions used in the practice of the invention may take the form of an undercut channel adapted to receive and match the undercut U-shaped ridges found in the male portion of the container wherein the walls and base of the channel are sufficiently flexible that the undercut portions of the U-shaped ridge are urged into engagement with the undercut portions of the channel.
