Patent number: 10177451Abstract: Wide band adaptive beam forming methods and systems are provided. The beam forming methods can include receiving signals at multiple antenna elements and digitizing samples of the received signals for some period of time. The samples are divided into sub-channels according to frequency, and interferers are identified as signals appearing across at least some minimum number of the sub-channels. After removing signals not identified as interferers from the collected signal information, that information is used to calculate weights for forming a beam having a null at the identified location of the interferer. The beam forming systems include multiple element antennas having arms in the form of a spiral, and processing hardware for performing adaptive beam forming.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 2015Date of Patent: January 8, 2019Assignee: BALL AEROSPACE & TECHNOLOGIES CORP.Inventors: Mara S. Publication number: 20180236174Abstract: The present disclosure provides a novel nesting plunger tip that can be installed onto a loose syringe plunger to create a syringe package that allows dispensing and abrupt stoppage of dispensing by creating negative pressure inside the syringe. This negative pressure can be achieved because the nesting plunger tip seats inside the syringe stopper and holds onto the stopper firmly when the plunger is pulled back, which creates negative pressure on the material in the syringe by pulling back on it. The nesting plunger tip can also be left off the plunger and the plunger can then be taken out of the syringe to allow a pneumatic dispensing adapter to be attached to provide positive or negative air pressure behind the syringe stopper. The nesting plunger tip allows a single syringe with plunger to be used for either manual hand dispensing or pneumatic dispensing.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 22, 2017Publication date: August 23, 2018Inventors: Mark Curtis Archambeault, Aaron James Tufgar

Publication number: 20160366929Abstract: A method of customizing a vaping composition enables the customization of liquid flavorings and a liquid vaping base to create a custom vaping composition. A volumetric concentration ratio between flavoring and vaping base is designated for a mixing bottle along with a flavor combination. At least one discrete quantity of liquid flavoring is expelled from each of the desired dispensers holding the liquid flavoring into the mixing bottle. An unmeasured quantity of liquid vaping base is expelled from a continuous dispenser into the mixing bottle until the designated volumetric concentration ratio between flavoring and vaping base is reached for the mixing bottle. The mixing bottle is then agitated to form a homogeneous vaping composition between the unmeasured quantity of liquid vaping base and the at least one discrete quantity of liquid flavoring from each of the desired dispensers.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 21, 2016Publication date: December 22, 2016Inventors: Mark Curtis Akers, Chaz Curtis Akers

Patent number: 7810539Abstract: Tools for compacting composite parts are disclosed. These tools are used while layers of composite material, such as tows or laminae, are being deposited onto a fabricating surface, such as a mold or other forming tool. The compacting tool is typically divided into a series of narrow segments, each segment able to advance or retreat individually so as to conform to the surface of a composite part being formed. Pressurized fluid, such as air or hydraulic fluid, or non-pressurized internal bladders with incompressible fluid, are used to evenly apply pressure to the segments in order to compact the material with which the tool and the segments are in contact. The compacting tool thus helps eliminate voids and helps the material conform to the desired shape on the forming tool.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 2006Date of Patent: October 12, 2010Assignee: Ingersoll Machine Tools, Inc.Inventors: Peter L.
