    Abstract: A method and a system for processing color-measurement data are disclosed. The method and system include detection of a predetermined characteristic in a data stream originating from or sent to a remote color-measuring instrument, use of the predetermined characteristic to locate color-measurement data in the data stream, and interception of the color-measurement data. The intercepted color-measurement data may be advantageously processed, e.g., by profiling or the like.
