Patent number: 11956200Abstract: A system and method for improving the download time of emails in an environment in which a server distributes emails to persons working in close proximity to each other. When these persons receive multi-recipient emails intended for several or all of these persons, the server distributing the emails delivers the multi-recipient emails to the first one of the persons who logged on to read his or her emails on his or her personal computer, for distribution to the other persons over a personal area network. This reduces the download time for the persons downloading their emails at a subsequent time.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 2023Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: United Services Automobile Association (USAA)Inventors: Gregory Brian Meyer, Mark Anthony Lopez, Nolan Serrao, Victor Kwak, Ryan Thomas Russell, Christopher Russell, Ruthie D. Patent number: 11930054Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments facilitating a holistic engagement with a user across multiple communication channels of an organization or an enterprise based at least in part on a determined user intent. As users interact with various services associated with the organization through one or more communication channels, interaction data can be captured and stored. In various examples, the interaction data that is stored by the various services can be obtained and organized according to a predefined schema. The organized interaction data can be applied to a trained intent model that outputs a user intent based at least in part on observations of other users with similar histories. The predicted intent can be provided to the different services such that subsequent interactions between the user and the organization can be based at least in part on the intent in a consistent manner, regardless of the communication channel associated with the interaction.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2022Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: AMERICAN EXPRESS TRAVEL RELATED SERVICES COMPANY, INC.Inventors: Anil Kumar Bashetty, Swetha Gayam, Mark E. Patent number: 6724404Abstract: A method for determining an up time of a multi-component tool having discrete elements, where the up time determination is based upon different processes that are to be accomplished in the multi-component tool. The discrete elements of the multi-component tool and the different processes to be accomplished in the multi-component tool are identified. Different tool states for the multi-component tool are determined by setting element states for each of the discrete elements of the multi-component tool. A first possible element state indicates that the discrete element is functional, and a second possible element state indicates that the discrete element is nonfunctional. Possible combinations of the element states of the discrete elements are identified as the different tool states of the multi-component tool.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2001Date of Patent: April 20, 2004Assignee: LSI Logic CorporationInventors: Thomas C. Patent number: 5269618Abstract: An indexable insert drill for producing a hole in a workpiece by relative rotary motion between the drill and workpiece. The drill comprises an elongated body having a central axis and a leading end, and a plurality of cutting inserts mounted on the leading end of the body. The cutting inserts are displaced at different radial locations relative to the central axis of the body. Each cutting insert has a cutting edge formed by a pair of respective inside and outside active cutting edge segments with the inside cutting edge segment being located closer to the central axis of the body than the outside cutting edge segment thereof. The inside and outside cutting edge segments of the respective cutting inserts extend at obtuse angles to one another and define therebetween apexes which are axially displaced at different distances from a plane normal to the central axis of the drill at the leading end of the drill which distances increase in length from an innermost one of the inserts to an outermost one thereof.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 1992Date of Patent: December 14, 1993Inventor: Mark D.
