  • Patent number: 12289566
Abstract: An audio/video recording and communication device configured as a doorbell has a housing with a support structure and a removable faceplate. A flexible translucent membrane of the faceplate supports a button aligned with a mechanical switch when the removable faceplate is attached to the housing such that a plurality of light emitting elements are positioned around the mechanical switch transmit light through the translucent membrane. A removable battery casing is configured to hold at least one battery and has a release button physically coupling with a detent of the support structure to retain the removable battery casing within the support structure. The removable battery casing may be removed from the device for recharging without removing the device from a surface on which it is mounted.

  • Patent number: 12159499
Abstract: A garage door is controlled to open using an audio/video (A/V) recording and communication device. The device detects a vehicle within an area about the garage door and receives, using a camera, image data representative of an object associated with the vehicle. The device also compares the image data representative of the object associated with the vehicle with previously stored image data and identifies the object based on the comparing of the image data representative of the object with the previously stored image data. The device also authenticates an electronic device within the vehicle that is associated with the object by wirelessly communicating with the electronic device and determines, based at least in part on the authenticating of the electronic device within the vehicle, that the vehicle is an authorized vehicle. The device also transmits an actuation command to the garage door to cause the garage door to open.

  • Patent number: 12081903
Abstract: An audio/video (A/V) device may include or accommodate a viewer through a barrier. For example, an A/V device may include a first component for installation on an exterior surface of a door, a second component for installation on an interior surface of the door, a viewer that extends through an opening in the door, and a flexible connector that electrically couples the first component and the second component. The A/V device may enable use of an existing hole in the door as part of a door viewer, while also providing the functionality of an A/V device. For example, the A/V device may be configured to receive an input using a button on the first component, generate image data using a camera on the first component, and send the image data to a network device.

  • Publication number: 20240083774
Abstract: A biogenic refinery has a pyrolysis pot, an exhaust plenum, and a drag chain conveyor system having first and second drag chain conveyor portions. The first and second drag chain conveyor portions have a drying region disposed in the exhaust plenum with the second drag chain conveyor portion depositing feedstock in the pyrolysis pot. A control system includes a drive to control the drag chain conveyor system, a humidity sensor sensing moisture in the exhaust plenum, and a controller that receives a signal from the humidity sensor, compares the humidity sensor signal with the desired moisture level in the exhaust, and controls the drag chain conveyor system based upon a difference between the humidity sensor signal and the desired moisture level in the exhaust to control a rate of movement of the feedstock through the drying regions of the first and second drag chain conveyor portions.

  • Publication number: 20240082784
Abstract: A method involves the processing of a feedstock comprising sanitary products with human waste in a biogenic refinery. The feedstock is shredded to reduce a particle size of the feedstock. The liquid and solid components of the feedstock are separated and the solid components are transferred to a conveyor and moved on a conveyor to a pyrolysis pot of the biogenic refinery. The solid components are heated in the pyrolysis pot to generate an exhaust. The exhaust is directed to a plenum that extends, respectively downstream, to a pollution control device and a heat exchanger. The liquid components are directed through a heat exchanger of the biogenic refinery. The liquid components are heated, concentrated, and injected into the exhaust in the plenum prior to the exhaust flowing to the pollution control device.
