Patent number: 11975274Abstract: The present invention relates to a spray dried plasma composition having one or more of the following characteristics: when reconstituted, largely amorphous and has no cholesterol crystals; when reconstituted, the number of large particulates is reduced; has low residual moisture; reconstitutes rapidly in under four minutes; highly stable when stored under refrigeration, at room temperature or at elevated temperatures and allows for storage for longer periods of time; when reconstituted, exhibits recovery of the most fragile of proteins, including von Willebrand's factor; when reconstituted with Sterile Water for Injection (SWFI), reconstituted plasma is at a pH that is near normal plasma pH, and does so without treatment or storage in CO2 or other pH adjustment; and when reconstituted, has reduced complement activation (C5A, C3A).Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 2022Date of Patent: May 7, 2024Assignee: Velico Medical, Inc.Inventors: Qiyong Peter Liu, Herman E. Patent number: 8272683Abstract: A vehicle roof assembly includes a vehicle roof structure, an accessory frame and a moveable member. The vehicle roof structure includes a first roof section with a mounting slot and a second roof section with a mounting structure. The accessory frame includes a first frame end that includes a mounting flange, and a second frame end that includes a complementary mounting structure. The mounting flange engages the mounting slot to couple the accessory frame to the vehicle roof structure and to enable the accessory frame to pivot relative to the vehicle roof structure between a pre-installation position and an installed position where the complementary mounting structure engages the mounting structure. The movable member is coupled to the accessory frame and moves between a first position proximate to one of the first and second frame ends, and a second position proximate to the other of the first and second frame ends.Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 2010Date of Patent: September 25, 2012Assignee: Nissan North America, Inc.Inventors: Joseph R. Patent number: 7909553Abstract: A cargo bed storage structure is provided for a vehicle. The cargo bed storage structure includes a cargo bed having a floor and a wall. The wall has a first portion extending substantially perpendicularly from the floor and a second portion extending inboard from the first portion. An attachment member is fixed to a lower surface of the second portion of the wall. A tie-down device has a first end that is fixed to the first portion of the wall. The tie-down device is operative in a stowed configuration and a usage configuration. The second end of the tie-down device is releasably engaged with the attachment member when the tie-down device is in the stowed configuration such that the tie-down device is disposed entirely outboard of an inboard distal end of the second portion of the wall.Type: GrantFiled: December 11, 2008Date of Patent: March 22, 2011Assignee: Nissan North America, Inc.Inventor: Mark D Snyder

Patent number: 7677631Abstract: An access assembly for a vehicle body. The access assembly includes a body panel movably mounted to the vehicle body for movement between an open position and a closed position and defining an access opening. A door assembly is provided on the body panel and has a cover that is movable between an open position and a closed position. A vehicle component is disposed in a substantially fixed position with respect to the vehicle body, the vehicle component having a receptacle that is substantially aligned with the access opening when the body panel is in the closed position. The access opening is exposed when the cover is in the open position, and the access opening is concealed when the cover is in the closed position.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2008Date of Patent: March 16, 2010Assignee: Nissan Technical Center North America, Inc.Inventors: Jonathan B. Patent number: 6712568Abstract: A flexible cargo bed tie-down system that allows the user to easily change, adjust, customize, and adapt his or her vehicle to specific needs at any given moment, and that interfaces with the rest of the vehicle in an optimum manner from a functional, structural, and aesthetic standpoint. Tie-down track(s) are provided that are integral with the body of the vehicle such that the exterior contour of the track(s) do not extend appreciably beyond the contour of the adjacent portions of the body. This permits the track(s) to blend in with the body of the vehicle, which improves functionality because the track(s) do not obstruct the placement of items on the vehicle. The track(s) are provided with a predetermined region that provides for controlled deformation of the vehicle body in case of a collision.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2002Date of Patent: March 30, 2004Assignees: Nissan Technical Center North America, Inc., Nissan Design America, Inc.Inventors: Mark D. Snyder, Darren A. Womack, William G. Bowes, Michael D. Anderson, Diane T. Allen, Stephen Ball

Patent number: 5259646Abstract: A multipurpose, lightweight, sheet metal bracket having a U-shaped cross-section is provided with tablike extensions of the sides of the U-shape for attachment thereto of other vehicle components. The sheet metal bracket itself can be spot-welded at a number of points to correspondingly disposed portions of an automobile internal structure for strong, rigid, permanent location to provide strong support to the steering column assembly and the brake support bracket of the automobile. Space above the sides of the U-shaped cross-section of the bracket provides safe passage for wiring between elements in the instrument panel assembly and cooperating elements in the engine compartments.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 1992Date of Patent: November 9, 1993Assignee: Nissan Research & Development, Inc.Inventor: Mark D. Patent number: 5222852Abstract: A fastening system is provided which includes an elongate grommet affixable into a correspondingly shaped aperture in a first object to be retained therein, and a clip passed through an aperture in a second object to be fastened to the first object. The two objects, one with the grommet affixed therein and the other with the clip projecting therethrough are brought together and, in a first orientation of the clip with respect to the grommet the clip is forcibly pressed into the grommet, whereupon a pair of claws formed onto the shank of the clip engage in an interference fit with recesses formed for such engagement into opposite walls of the grommet. The clip has a maximum transverse dimension smaller than an inside dimension of the elongate grommet, so that a predetermined amount of relative motion between the fastened objects is permitted by sliding motion of the clip while in interference engagement with the grommet.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 1992Date of Patent: June 29, 1993Assignee: Nissan Research & DevelopmentInventor: Mark D.
