  • Publication number: 20240032582
Abstract: An adapter assembly for a food product printer having a plurality of beverage capsule holders and aa adapter for coupling to a print positioning arm of the food product printer. Each beverage capsule holder has an interior cavity configured to receive a beverage capsule therein, an open top for exposing a print surface of the beverage capsule received therein and a perimeter support surface positioned on an exterior surface thereof and extending outwardly therefrom, the perimeter support surface spaced apart vertically from a base of the beverage capsule holder. The adapter is configured to receive and hold the base of the beverage capsule holder such that the beverage capsule holder is retained in an upright position and at the adapter.

  • Publication number: 20220258510
Abstract: A system and method for printing and cutting labels comprising a laser printer assembly and a die cutting assembly positioned in a printer housing such that the media is printed and cut before advancing further through the system. A positioning block aligns the optical fibers of multiple laser diodes to direct laser beams to a print head. The print head is positioned such that the print head is tilted to adjust spacing of focal points of the laser beams on the media and thus set print resolution. The system eliminates the need for a filtration system when used with smokeless media. The print head includes a mirror and a focusing lens for steering the laser beams for laser printing and does not include a collimating lens.

  • Publication number: 20020061382
Abstract: An optical disc is plastic and has a printable or ink receptive first layer on which ink printing can take place. It is then coated with a material that covers the printable layer such that when ink jet printing is printed on the outer layer, the ink will pass into and be retained by the ink receptive layer. The outer layer inhibits outward diffusion of the ink when in the presence of moisture so the printer will not be affected by water on the surface of the disc.

  • Patent number: 6302601
Abstract: A printer has a substrate carrier that is a planar membrane driven through the printer solely by friction drives. The planar membrane is completely removable from the printer, and can be adapted to support a substrate of desired configuration and held against locating surfaces while it is being driven through the printer by the friction drive. The friction drive comprises at least one set of rollers including a drive roller on one side of the carrier and a resiliently mounted roller on the other, and also includes a rotating resilient platen that is resiliently urged against a printhead for providing a reaction force for the friction drive while printing occurs.
