  • Publication number: 20220098108
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an improved gypsum board and a method of making such gypsum board. For instance, the method comprises: providing a first facing material, depositing a gypsum slurry comprising at least stucco and water on the first facing material, providing a second facing material on the gypsum slurry, and allowing the stucco to convert to calcium sulfate dihydrate, wherein the method further comprises a step of providing a dry starch layer including a dry starch at an interface between the first facing material and the gypsum slurry, the second facing material and the gypsum slurry, or both.

  • Patent number: 5535887
Abstract: A tissue package comprising a plurality of tissues and a dispensing package. The plurality of tissues is compressed in two discrete stages, each of which stage can be released independently from the other. The first stage of compression is less than the second stage of compression. The tissues are transported and stored while under the second stage of compression. The user releases the second stage of compression, whereby the tissues can expand up to the first stage of compression. The user releases the first stage of compression just before installing the plurality of tissues into a dispensing package or dispenses the tissues through a restraint while they are held in the first stage compression.

  • Patent number: 5379897
Abstract: A disposable, compactable package for reliably dispensing a stack of sheet products even after the package has been deformed or compacted. The package comprises a top wall and a bottom wall comprised of a resiliently deformable material. The top and bottom walls are spaced from and oriented generally parallel to one another. They are connected to one another about their peripheries by means of a thinner more easily deformable substantially continuous tube or hoop which is also comprised of resiliently deformable material. The substantially continuous tube or hoop, which is preferably integrally formed with either the top wall, defines the side walls of the package.

  • Patent number: 4817882
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for measuring, cutting, and rolling material such as floor covering. The apparatus includes a wheeled support frame which receives a base roll of material from which material is unwound a material take-up shaft device onto which material from the base roll is wound. The take-up shaft device includes a pair of outwardly expandable bars which clamp the edge of the material in place on the take-up device and which can be contracted to release the old material from the take-up device. The take-up device is releasably mounted on the support frame by a mechanism which permits the entire take-up device with a roll of material wound thereon to be removed from the remainder of the apparatus. A measuring device measures the length of the material wound onto the take-up device and a floating cutting table assembly including a cutting bar assists in cutting off the material from the base roll when the material wound onto the take-up device is of the desired length.
