  • Publication number: 20220141293
Abstract: A system and method for recovering application authentication with an application server by using an exponential back-off procedure via push notifications is discussed herein. The system allows for authentication of a user account after network outages or service disruptions without traffic overload during recovery. A user equipment (UE) receives a failed registration notification after a failed registration attempt of the user account with an application server associated with the application. A push notification includes an instruction that causes the application to switch from an inactive state to a temporary active state. The push notification is sent from a push notification service in response to a push request from a notification server based on a recovery request from the UE due to the failed registration notification. While the application is in the temporary active state, the instruction further causes the application to request registration with the application server.

  • Patent number: 11302129
Abstract: Automatic retrieval using an electronic device of a previously known access code for a security device which includes identifying, using a computer, a security mechanism based on a proximity of a user to the security mechanism. The proximity of the user to the security mechanism is determined using location services for a mobile device of the user and first historical data which indicates a location of the security mechanism. Second historical data is analyzed, in response to identifying the security mechanism. An identified access code is selected based on the analysis of the second historical data. The selecting of the identified access code includes a reference relationship between the reference content, the security mechanism, and the access code. The identified access code is provided to the mobile device of the user for communication to the user, for the user to enter the code on the security mechanism.

  • Patent number: 11293891
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to various methods and example systems for carrying out analog-to-digital conversion of data acquired by arrays of nanogap sensors. The nanogap sensors described herein may operate as molecular sensors to help identify chemical species through electrical measurements using at least a pair of electrodes separated by a nanogap. In general, the methods and systems proposed herein rely on digitizing the signal as the signal is being integrated, and then integrating the digitized results. With such methods, the higher sample rate used in the digitizer reduces the charge per quantization and, therefore, the size of sampling capacitors used. Consequently, sampling capacitors may be made factors of magnitude smaller, requiring less valuable space on a chip compared to sampling capacitors used in conventional nanogap sensor arrays.

  • Publication number: 20220049848
Abstract: A process for combusting a high-moisture fuel to generate steam in which the high-moisture solid fuel is first dried by contacting with an oxygen-depleted gas stream while being heated by indirect heat exchange with a recirculating thermal fluid. The dried fuel is then combusted with a combustion air stream to produce a combustion products stream whose heat first is used to generate steam, and then to preheat the combustion air stream by indirect heat exchange in which a portion of the combustion air stream and/or a portion of the combustion products stream bypasses the heat exchanger. The combustion products stream also provides heat to dry the solid fuel via the recirculating thermal fluid.

  • Publication number: 20210374322
Abstract: A system, method, and computer readable medium with instructions for verifying an original layout are disclosed. The original layout includes cells arranged in a cell hierarchy, front-end-of-line (FEOL) layers, and back-end-of-line (BEOL) layers. In one embodiment, a reduced layout is generated by trimming out cells below a top tier of the cell hierarchy and filtering out the FEOL layers. A text-based short check is executed on the reduced layout. Next, an augmented reduced layout is generated. The augmented reduced layout includes pin information for cells in a second tier connected to the top tier. An interconnectivity check is then executed on the augmented reduced layout based on a schematic for the circuit. Afterwards, a result (e.g., location of short or connectivity mismatch) based on at least one of the text-based short check and the interconnectivity check is outputted. A conventional LVS check may then be executed.

  • Patent number: 11165589
Abstract: A trusted blockchain oracle observes events extrinsic to a blockchain to yield an indication of the extrinsic event suitable for submission to a decentralized application on a blockchain. The trusted blockchain oracle signs the indications of the extrinsic events to yield a signed blockchain record. The trusted blockchain oracle publishes a feed of the signed blockchain records or otherwise distributes the signed blockchain records to potential users of the decentralized application at low computational cost. Users who wish to submit a signed blockchain record to the decentralized application may form and broadcast their own transactions including the signed blockchain record and bear the costs of confirming the transaction to the blockchain. The trusted blockchain oracle is thus relieved of the costs of confirming extrinsic events online and may provide a much larger amount of extrinsic event indications than would otherwise be possible.

  • Publication number: 20210329569
Abstract: A wireless communication method to alter RF regulatory channel hopping requirements (regulations) between a pair of transceivers is envisioned wherein an embedded transceiver embedded in an RF attenuating medium transmits signals at a lower hopping requirement than a paired open-air transceiver. The communication method adheres to these regulations, which define a threshold power for transmission above which require a high degree of frequency hopping. Because the attenuating medium attenuates the open-air RF signal from the embedded transceiver, channel hopping in the embedded transceiver is lowered however, the channel hopping in the open-air transceiver is not lowered. The two transceivers are essentially powered equally.
