    Abstract: A safety harness assembly (10) includes a harness (12) securable to a person's torso having an anterior side (14) and a posterior side (16). A resilient, elastomeric cord assembly (18) has an anterior end portion (24) connected to the anterior side of the harness, and a posterior end portion (26) connected to the posterior side of the harness. An intermediate portion (28) of the elastomeric cord assembly is connectable to a safety lanyard (22). The safety harness assembly absorbs shock and positions the person upright when worn to support a person's weight and break the impact of falls.
