  • Patent number: 9988431
Abstract: The present invention relates to the identification of proteins located on the cell surface of dendritic cells or precursors thereof, particularly antigen presenting dendritic cells. In particular, the present invention relates to compounds such as antibodies that bind these proteins. These compounds can be used to detect and/or enrich a subset of dendritic cells or precursors thereof. These compounds can also be used to target antigens to dendritic cells or precursors thereof to modulate a humoral and/or T cell mediated immune response to an antigen, or used to target cytotoxic agents to dendritic cells or precursors thereof involved in diseased states.

  • Publication number: 20150265721
Abstract: The present invention relates to the identification of proteins which bind the dendritic cell marker known as Clec9A. The present invention provides new compounds for targeting therapeutic agents such as antigens to dendritic cells. Also provided are methods of modulating a humoral and/or T cell mediated immune response to the antigen, methods of delivery of a cytotoxic agent to dendritic cells thereof involved in diseased states, methods of modulating the uptake and/or clearance of cells with a disrupted cell membrane, cells infected with a pathogen, dying cells or dead cells, or a portion thereof, and methods of modulating antigen recognition, processing and/or presentation, as well as immune responses to material derived from cells with a disrupted cell membrane, cells infected with a pathogen, dying cells or dead cells, or a portion thereof.

  • Publication number: 20080247508
Abstract: A device used to warm a mammography machine comprises a warmer and a holder for the warmer. The holder includes an enclosed heating element and non-insulating filler material adjacent the heating element. The heating element is precisely regulated to ensure that the sensitive imaging elements are not damaged by an overtemperature condition, while at the same time permitting a rapid heating of the warmer for high cycle use. The warmer warms surfaces of the mammography machine that contacts human skin.
