Patent number: 11986400Abstract: A magnetic impactor assembly is described herein. The magnetic impactor assembly generally includes a guide receptacle, and an impactor guide magnetically coupled to the guide receptacle to form a magnetic interface therebetween. The guide receptacle is attachable to a surgical device such as a surgical robotic manipulator arm. The impactor guide receives and guides an impactor to permit a user to impact a prosthesis into a bone of a patient in a planned position and orientation. The magnetic impactor assembly reduces the transmission of excessive forces to a patient or the surgical device if an off-axis impaction force is generated on the impactor through the decoupling of the impactor guide from the guide receptacle.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 2017Date of Patent: May 21, 2024Assignee: Think Surgical, Inc.Inventors: Jonathan Wu, Mark Dixon

Patent number: 11745359Abstract: A coupling device is described herein for coupling two objects. The coupling device includes a body having a receiving member, a bore, and a locking pin situated inside the bore. The locking pin is translatable beyond the bore to intercept a portion of an attachment region of an object to removably couple the object to the coupling device. A lever connected to the locking pin allows a user to rotate the locking pin. Upon rotation of the lever, components in the body cause the locking pin to rotate and translate towards the object to intercept the portion of the attachment region of the object.Type: GrantFiled: April 12, 2022Date of Patent: September 5, 2023Assignee: Think Surgical, Inc.Inventor: Mark Dixon

Publication number: 20230248374Abstract: A system and method are provided for aligning a keel punch in a planned position and orientation relative to a subjects bone in a time efficient manner, which forms keel receiving features in the subjects bone with the accuracy and precision of a surgical robot. The system and method provided removes prior surgical constraints and allows a surgeon to reposition the patient prior to punching the keel receiving features without losing the alignment, and protects the robot from the forces required to punch the keel features manually, which would otherwise occur if the surgical robot were to fixedly hold the keel punching tool in place while punching the keel features. The provided method does not require a tool change, or require an end-effector to be fixedly attached to any of the components while aligning the keel punch alignment guide on the subjects bone.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 29, 2021Publication date: August 10, 2023Applicant: THINK SURGICAL, INC.Inventors: Micah Forstein, Mark Dixon

Publication number: 20230169231Abstract: Processing systems analyze data structures that characterize plans for combating climate change. The plans are represented by data structures that characterize one or more transition targets, each including (or associated with) data characterizing the significance of the change, the likelihood it will take place, the confidence level in those estimates, and other information, and how those might change over time. The system traverses the data structure and produces one or more scores characterizing the plan. Some embodiments iterate over the initial plan data structure or a space derived from the initial plan data structure, moving toward a plan that meets overall goals, preferably while supporting a necessary level of activity. Agent-based modeling drives some embodiments to optimize outputs toward particular metrics and/or with particular constraints.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 18, 2021Publication date: June 1, 2023Inventors: Tomer SHALIT, Mark DIXON, Jeff GOENS

Publication number: 20220372277Abstract: A preform is made by mixing cyclic olefin copolymer (COC) and light shielding pigment(s) with PET. The preform is stretch-blow moulded to produce a bottle which may be white and opaque. Light may be restricted from entering the bottle to thereby restrict degradation of the bottle contents from certain wavelengths of visible light.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 15, 2020Publication date: November 24, 2022Inventors: Michaël ADAM, Adrian CARMICHAEL, Mark DIXON, Grégory RENARD

Patent number: 11312023Abstract: A coupling device is described herein having a body situated between a mounting member and a receiving member. The mounting member mounts to a portion of a machine and the receiving member receives a tool to couple the tool to the machine. The body includes a housing having a locking pin disposed therein. The locking pin includes a plurality of teeth radially positioned about an outer surface of the locking pin. A plurality of pawls disposed in the body engage with the plurality of teeth to lock a rotational position of the locking pin. A lever connected to the locking pin allows a user to rotate the locking pin. Upon rotation of the lever, components in the body cause the locking pin to rotate and translate towards the tool to impose a force on a portion of the tool to rigidly connect the tool to the machine.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 2017Date of Patent: April 26, 2022Assignee: Think Surgical, Inc.Inventor: Mark Dixon

Patent number: 11230068Abstract: A method of forming a tool includes applying a first build ply to an initial ply. A second build ply is applied to the first build ply. Successive build plies are applied to build on the second build ply, the successive build plies including a medial section of build plies and a last build ply. A surface defined by the last build ply, the first build ply, and leading edges of the build plies therebetween define a substantially curvature-continuous surface profile extending between a first segment and a second segment. A shape of the substantially curvature-continuous surface profile is determined based on an adjusted ply drop ratio for at least a portion of the successive build plies.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 2019Date of Patent: January 25, 2022Assignee: The Boeing CompanyInventors: Christopher R. Loesche, Steven Mark Dixon
