  • Publication number: 20150282163
Abstract: Embodiments provide an apparatus, a method and a computer program for scheduling a data transmission. The apparatus 10 is operable for scheduling data transmissions to a mobile transceiver in a mobile communication system. The apparatus 10 comprises means for determining 12 a delay between a transmission of a first data packet and a transmission of a next data packet to the mobile transceiver, the delay depending on an acknowledgement packet received from the mobile transceiver for the first data packet. The apparatus 10 further comprises means for scheduling 14 data transmissions to the mobile transceiver based on the delay.

  • Patent number: 9072063
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for reducing interference in the downlink direction of a cellular radio communication system comprising base stations communicating with terminals using a frame structure showing a time and frequency extension, said frame comprising a preamble portion and at least one data portion, said terminals being adapted to receive frames for which the receive power of said at least one data portion is varying in a predefined range relative to the receive preamble power of said preamble portion, According to the present invention, the method comprises the steps of: transmitting the part of said data portion destined to said terminal with a transmit power adapted to generate a first receive power (Plow) at said terminal within said range if said terminal belongs to a first group of terminals; transmitting the part of said data portion destined to said terminal with a transmit power adapted to generate a second receive power (Phigh) at said terminal within said range, said seco

  • Patent number: 8938246
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for scheduling transmissions in a radio communication system comprising a plurality of base stations and a plurality of terminals, a base station being associated to a sector and transmitting/receiving data to/from terminals located in said sector. According to the present invention, the method comprises the steps of: —determining an area around each given sector, said area comprising a set of sectors, —allocating to said sectors in said area a scheduling priority chosen among at least two different scheduling priorities, —scheduling decisions in a sector having a lower scheduling priority than a sector belonging to said area depending on scheduling decisions made for said sector with higher scheduling priority, said scheduling decisions made in said sector with higher scheduling priority being reported by said base station associated to said sector with higher scheduling priority to said base station associated to said sector with lower scheduling priority.

  • Publication number: 20140119312
Abstract: The invention relates to a method (MET1) for receiving uplink radio frequency signals (RFS) in a radio communication system. The radio communication system comprises at least one antenna system for a reception of the uplink radio frequency signals (RFS), a slave unit (SU) connected to the at least one antenna system, and a master unit (MU) controlling the slave unit (SU). The method (MET1) comprises the steps of receiving (M1/10) at the at least one antenna system the uplink radio frequency signals (RFS), verifying (M1/13), whether a characteristic parameter of the received uplink radio frequency signals (RFS) fulfills a predefined criterion, and controlling (M1/14) a forwarding of the received uplink radio frequency signals (RFS) to the master unit (MU) depending on a fulfillment of the predefined criterion.

  • Publication number: 20110205923
Abstract: The present invention relates to measurement in radio communication systems. In particular, the present invention relates to a sounding method in a cellular wireless communication system, the communication system itself and its components like base stations and mobile stations. The radio communication system (1) comprises at least one mobile station (2) and at least two base stations (3, 4). One of said base stations is a serving base station (3) for the mobile station (2) and the at least one further base station is a neighboring base station (4) of the serving base station (3). The serving base station (3) is adapted to generate a schedule for measurement signals and to transmit said schedule to the mobile station (2) and to the neighboring base station (4). The mobile station (2) is adapted to transmit measurement signals in accordance with said schedule to the serving base station (3) and to the neighboring base station (4).

  • Patent number: 5777098
Abstract: A process and apparatus for purifying DNA which has relatively high molecular weight from a biological sample containing DNA is described. The method comprises the steps (1) lysing the red blood cells in the sample; 2) lysing DNA-containing cells; (3) precipitating the proteins from sample; and (4) and rehydrating and recovering the DNA. method offers the advantages of performance in less than 15 minutes, not requiring organic or poisonous materials, compatibility with most anticoagulants, and requiring less solutions than conventional purification procedures, thus making it simpler and more economical to use.
