  • Publication number: 20220056302
Abstract: A pre-treatment coating composition can include an evaporable liquid vehicle and a pre-treatment coating matrix carried by the evaporable liquid vehicle. The pre-treatment coating matrix in this example can include from 30 wt % to 70 wt % multivalent organic salt including a multivalent metal acetate or a multivalent metal propionate, from 5 wt % to 30 wt % dispersed polymeric binder having a weight average molecular weight from 20,000 Mw to 1,000,000 Mw, from 0.5 wt % to 8 wt % of a high molecular weight polyvinyl alcohol binder, and from 10 wt % to 30 wt % of a low molecular weight polyvinyl alcohol binder. The low molecular weight polyvinyl alcohol binder and the high molecular weight polyvinyl alcohol binder in this example can be present in the pre-treatment coating matrix at a 3:1 to 15:1 weight ratio. Weight percentages in this example are based on dry weight of the pre-treatment coating matrix.

  • Patent number: 9922023
Abstract: An XML document is stored in a file that is divided into file partitions. Each file partition is assigned to a process of a set processes to search for one or more separate target elements. The target elements are identified by a target element name. Each process scans an assigned file partition for the beginning of a target element. When a target element is found, an XML parser is invoked to parse the target element.

  • Patent number: 8739498
Abstract: An insulated fire door includes a door shell having spaced first and second exterior panels and a gypsum panel between the first and second exterior panels. The insulated fire door includes a plurality of spacers bonded across an interior side of each of the first and second exterior panels. The spacers maintain the gypsum panel in a spaced position from the interior sides of the first and second exterior panels as the door bows during a fire on one side of the door, until the gypsum disintegrates. Each of the spacers may have a flat portion contacting the gypsum panel, a leg extending from the flat portion spacing the gypsum from the interior sides of the first and second exterior panels, and a flange extending from the leg bonding the spacer to the first and second exterior panels.

  • Publication number: 20050136220
Abstract: The present invention relates to recording sheets and methods of producing recording sheets. In one embodiment, a method for producing a print medium includes extruding a polymer to form a polymeric layer. The polymeric layer is attached to a substrate and a pattern is formed in the polymeric layer. In another embodiment, a recording sheet having a substrate and a means for reducing curl of the recording sheet is disclosed. A method for reducing curl of a recording sheet is also disclosed. The method includes providing a recording sheet having a substrate and an embossed polymeric layer attached to a surface of the substrate. A cross machine direction stiffness of the recording sheet is enhanced in order to reduce curl of the recording sheet.
