  • Publication number: 20240185817
Abstract: A system for stabilizing a tremolo (vibrato) of a guitar includes a tremolo stabilizer and a lockable claw that can be used in place of a traditional tremolo spring and claw, respectively. The stabilizer uses an extension spring as well as a compression spring with an adjustable preload to stabilize the tremolo. The overall length of the stabilizer can be calibrated with a thumbwheel. The locking claw uses anchor screws and a claw screw for restricting movement when the stabilizer is under tension or compression, respectively.
