  • Patent number: 4563573
Abstract: The toy electric oven has a chamber. In the lower portion of the chamber there is a chandelier bulb surrounded by a parabolic reflector that reflects heat upwardly. A rack in the upper portion of the chamber has a lower plate with an opening therein so that heat can impinge upon the underside of a utensil. The rack also has an upper plate provided with an opening immediately beneath a window in the top of the housing so that whatever is being heated can be viewed. A slide switch is employed to supply power to the chandelier lamp. The operating button of the slide switch is actuated between its open and closed positions by means of a switch plate having an arcuate slot therein possessing a sufficient amount of eccentricity so that the operating button of the switch is moved from its open position to its closed position when said switch plate is rotated in one direction by a manually-operated knob.
