    Abstract: A safety razor that includes a handle; a head on one end of the handle, with the head adapted to hold a razor blade and having a top plate and a bottom plate; a razor blade having first and second portions which each terminate at a blade edge; and a slot configured on first and second portions of the bottom plate, each slot configured and dimensioned for receiving one portion of the razor blade and for holding the blade edge at a predetermined angle with respect to the bottom plate. The most preferred blade edge angle is approximately 30° with respect to the bottom plate.
