Publication number: 20260130663Abstract: A knotless tissue repair construct. The construct includes an anchor body formed of a soft suture-like material. The construct includes a repair suture having a first end, a second end and a cannulated length portion therebetween, the first end fixedly coupled to the anchor body. The cannulated length is interwoven along and through a first sidewall of the anchor body such that the second end extends proximally from the anchor body proximal end. The construct includes a transfer suture threaded through and along a second sidewall of the anchor body, through and along the repair suture cannulated length and also punched through the repair suture adjacent the cannulated length, defining a repair suture punch.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 8, 2026Publication date: May 14, 2026Inventors: Belin Mirabile, Benjamin M. Patent number: 12611207Abstract: An assembly includes a flexible fixation member, a suture, and a delivery device. The fixation member includes a body with two terminal ends. A suture passes through the flexible fixation member at various points along a length of the body such that portions of the fixation member are slidable relative to the suture and configurable to form a cluster within a surgical site. The delivery device includes a tubular member, an elongated inserter, and a trigger. The elongated inserter is slidably disposed within the tubular member. The inserter has a forked distal end configured to receive a portion of the flexible fixation member and the suture. The trigger is finger-engagable and fixedly coupled to the proximal end of the inserter. It is configured to advance and retract the inserter relative to the tubular member. The trigger includes a retention member for retaining a proximal end portion of the suture.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 2022Date of Patent: April 28, 2026Assignee: Smith & Nephew, Inc.Inventors: Geoffrey I. Publication number: 20260102150Abstract: A soft anchor deployment system for tissue repair includes an insertion instrument having a shaft extending up to a distally facing surface. A tip member extends distally from the distal facing surface. A soft anchor is positioned on the tip member such that the tip member is disposed within and along a lumen of the soft anchor. A suture operatively couples to the soft anchor and to a tensioning actuator of the insertion instrument. Tension applied to the suture deploys the soft anchor from a first elongated state to a second expanded state. During deployment of the soft anchor, a distal end of the soft anchor slides along and over the tip member and the soft anchor is compressed against the distally facing surface such that the tip member extends distally from the distal end of the soft anchor.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 9, 2025Publication date: April 16, 2026Inventor: Mark E. Housman

Publication number: 20240399025Abstract: Methods of making an enhanced bioactive PRP implant include supplying a centrifuge container with a collagen-based scaffold pre-inserted onto a moveable filter within the vial. A centrifuge process for creating the PRP implant is followed, resulting in a PRP/collagen implant combination. Other biologics may be added to the container instead of or in addition to the collagen-based scaffold. Additionally, methods of fixing the PRP implant into place at the point of a tear or wound include applying the PRP implant adjacent to or within a meniscal tear, or underneath or on top of a rotator cuff tear. Suture or staples may then be routed either through or over the PRP implant to hold the implant in place.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 28, 2024Publication date: December 5, 2024Applicant: Smith & Nephew, Inc.Inventors: Nehal N.
