Abstract: The present invention relates to efficient synthetic processes useful in the preparation of antiviral nucleosides, particularly uridine 4-oxime 5?-(2-methylpropanoate) {(2R,3S,4R,5R)-3,4-dihydroxy-5-[4-(hydroxyimino)-2-oxo-3,4-dihydropyrimidin-1(2H)-yl]oxolan-2-yl}methyl 2-methylpropanoate and pharmaceutically acceptable salts, derivatives, tautomers, isomers, and prodrugs of, which may be active as antiviral agents, as well as compositions and methods thereof. The present invention also encompasses intermediates useful in the disclosed synthetic processes and the methods of their preparation.

Abstract: An electric vehicle includes a chassis supported by three wheels. A seat is carried by the chassis, and the seat is enclosed in a compartment formed by a pivotable canopy. A pair of push-pull steering levers are positioned laterally of the seat to avoid obstructing forward access to the seat. There is an open space through the floor of the vehicle in front of the seat, which allows the occupant to enter and exit from the seat without climbing up into the vehicle. The canopy has a nose portion with a footrest panel that is inclined inwardly toward the occupant in the seat. This arrangement permits the vehicle to be used even by persons with limited mobility, who may have difficulty entering and leaving other vehicles.

Abstract: A reclining chair has a seat back and a seat bottom which are pivotally attached to opposite ends of a rocking cradle or support frame, which itself is pivotally mounted to a base. The seat back and the seat bottom are interconnected such that an end of the seat bottom proximate to the seat back is raised as the seat back is lowered. Conversely, as the end of the seat bottom proximate to the seat back is lowered, the seat back is raised. The opposite or remote end of the seat bottom is maintained at substantially the same elevation as the end of the seat bottom proximate the seat back, whereby the seat bottom is maintained in a substantially constant orientation relative to the horizontal as it is raised and lowered.
