  • Patent number: 11931472
Abstract: A system for disinfecting an autonomous vehicle includes a light assembly having LEDs configured to emit UVC light into a passenger compartment of the autonomous vehicle. The light assembly includes a heat sink to dissipate heat generated by the LEDs. In examples, the heat sink is disposed in the path of forced air associated with a climate control system of the vehicle. The climate control system may be controlled based on a temperature proximate the LEDs and/or the heat sink. In some examples, the light assembly is integrated into the ceiling of the vehicle and can further include visible light emitters and/or other features.

  • Publication number: 20230226138
Abstract: The invention provides a pharmaceutical composition and methods for the treatment of a respiratory disease that results from a viral infection. The pharmaceutical composition can include a peptide that interferes with the Src family kinase-Androgen receptor interaction (i.e., an “SA inhibitor”). The composition can also include Niacin or a Niacin derivative and/or a DNase I or fragment or derivative. The pharmaceutical composition can prevent the development of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) associated with Corona vims infection and allow the host adaptive immune response to overcome the infection.

  • Publication number: 20060172418
Abstract: This invention pertains to certain hypercoiling polymers, and their use for the delivery of a payload into a living cell, e.g., into the nucleus of a living cell, which polymer incorporates, or is otherwise associated with, said payload. The payload may be, for example, a therapeutic payload, such as a drug, etc.; a diagnostic payload, such as a detectable label, such as a fluorophore, etc. In preferred embodiments, the hypercoiling polymers are biocompatible; biodegradable; comprise amide linkages; and/or are pseudo-proteins. The present invention also pertains to certain hypercoiling polymers; certain hypercoiling carrier polymers, which incorporate a payload; and certain hypercoiling carrier polymers, otherwise associated with a payload; which are suitable for use in such methods; and methods of diagnosis, treatment, imaging, etc., using such polymers.
