  • Imaging Device-Based User Authentication System and Methods

    Abstract: A method for authenticating a user for operating at least one imaging device from a network of imaging devices without using an authentication server is disclosed. The method includes configuring a first imaging device from the network to store a registry of users authorized to access the imaging device. Another imaging device from the network receives log-in information from the user which is sent to the first imaging device for authentication. If the log-in information is authenticated at the first imaging device, the user is provided access to one or more functions of the imaging device.
