  • Publication number: 20240418802
Abstract: A diagnostic apparatus includes a first array of superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUIDs). Each SQUID of the first array is configured to be coupled respectively to a test circuit of a second array of test circuits such that an electronic noise present in the test circuit induces a first current that flows through the SQUID. The diagnostic apparatus also includes a current source configured to provide a second current for each SQUID of the first array such that the second current flows through the SQUID. Each SQUID of the first array is configured to generate an output in a form of: a first voltage in response to a sum of the first current and the second current being less than a threshold current, and a second voltage in response to the sum of the first current and the second current being greater than the threshold current.

  • Publication number: 20240421966
Abstract: Systems and methods for better utilizing available resources within a wireless telecommunication system. One aspect of the present invention is user equipment (UE) configured to autonomously determine its Maximum Sensitivity Degradation (MSD) value for a particular UE configuration. The MSD value is a function of (1) selected UE-specific parameters, such as those that are determined by the characteristics of the UE's RFFE components and RFFE architecture, and (2) selected standard parameters that may be dynamic or vary over time. Another aspect of the present invention is to configure a UE to provide its determined MSD value to a communications network, either as a raw value or as a computed indication of the MSD value relative to a specified reference value. The determined MSD value may then be used by a system controller to select a more efficient allocation of spectrum and network resources.

Abstract: Embodiments of negative pressure wound therapy systems, apparatuses, and methods for operating the systems and apparatuses are disclosed. In some embodiments, the apparatus includes a negative pressure source, a connector port, at least one switch, and a controller. The negative pressure source is connected through the connector port to either (i) a wound dressing having a canister configured to store fluid aspirated from the wound or (ii) a wound dressing without a canister between the connector port and the wound dressing. The controller determines, based on a signal received from the at least one switch, whether the canister is positioned in the fluid flow path and adjusts one or more operational parameters of negative pressure wound therapy based on the determination. The switch is activated by the connection of either the canister or canisterless wound dressing to the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20240369269
Abstract: Examples relate to cryogen flow control techniques using a magnetic failsafe valve. The valve is located between a cryogen source and a cryogen bath and has a position based on the magnetic field generated by a parallel solenoid circuit having a superconducting solenoid wound in a first direction and a non-superconducting solenoid (e.g., normal metal solenoid) wound in a second direction. When the current source is supplying a current to the parallel solenoid circuit and the temperature at the parallel solenoid circuit is below a threshold temperature, the current flows through the superconducting solenoid causing the magnetic field generated by the parallel solenoid circuit to position the magnetic valve in a particular state (e.g., open). The position of the valve can quickly change in situations where the temperature rises above the threshold temperature.
