  • Publication number: 20240141574
Abstract: A washing machine appliance includes a tub and a rotatable basket therein. Methods of operating the washing machine appliance may include, and/or the washing machine appliance may be configured for, measuring a first inertia of a load of articles in the basket by rotating the basket at rotational speeds outside of a resonance speed zone. A water extraction operation is performed after measuring the first inertia of the load of articles. The water extraction operation includes rotating the basket at speeds outside of the resonance speed zone. A second inertia of the load of articles after the water extraction operation is measured by rotating the basket at rotational speeds outside of the resonance speed zone. A load type of the load of articles is determined based on the second inertia. The basket is rotated at speeds within the resonance speed zone only once prior to the water extraction operation.

  • Patent number: 11941372
Abstract: Edit automation functionality generalizes edits performed by a user in a document, locates similar text, and recommends or applies transforms while staying within a current workflow. Source code edits such as refactoring are automated. The functionality uses or provides anchor target lists, temporal edit patterns, edit graphs, automatable edit sequence libraries, and other data structures and computational techniques for identifying locations appropriate for particular edits, for getting transforms, for selecting optimal transforms, for leveraging transforms in an editing session or later, and for displaying transform recommendations and results. The edit automation functionality enhances automation subtool generation, discoverability, and flexibility, for refactoring, snippet insertion, quick actions in an integrated development environment, and other automatable edit sequences.

  • Publication number: 20240068363
Abstract: A drilling assembly for downhole to surface communications is provided. The drilling assembly includes a series of pipe segments coupled in fluid communication between a slip ring assembly and an end pipe portion. The slip ring assembly is coupled in data and fluid communication with the pipe segments. A surface communications link is in data communication with the drilling assembly via the slip ring assembly. An end pipe portion is coupled with the drilling assembly that includes an electronics assembly with electronic components for transferring data to the slip ring assembly via the drilling assembly. A drill bit is operably coupled with the end pipe portion for drilling a borehole. Each pipe segment includes an outer conductor portion, a hollow inner conductor portion, and a dielectric portion for electrical isolation between the outer conductor portion and the inner conductor portion.

  • Publication number: 20240069907
Abstract: Historic context data is automatically associated with particular pieces of source code by retrieval data structures. Ephemeral information is preserved, such as how a piece of code originated operationally and was changed over time, which research sources informed the code's origination and changes, and why particular changes in the code were made. Code may be rolled back to an earlier version based on parameters such as whether code had been refactored, or results of testing or static analysis. Rollback goes beyond editor undo actions, and a developer need not specify a timestamp or a version number. Developer documentation burdens are reduced, developer understanding is increased, and code quality is enhanced, by providing ready access to the code's software development context history data. Some actions made possible include highlighting code that was generated automatically by autocompletion or otherwise, highlighting refactored code, and highlighting pasted code, among other actions.

  • Publication number: 20240046906
Abstract: A system and a kit can be used for onboard, real-time blending for electronic pickups to produce various tonal combinations. In one example, at least one of the electronic pickups has dual coils. The dual coil pickup can be electrically connected to a switching circuit positioned on a stringed instrument. The switching circuit can be adjustable in real-time to select between at least two conditions for a signal of the dual coil pickup. In one instance, the conditions can select north coil only, series wiring of the dual coils, or south coil only. Alternatively, the conditions can select series wiring or parallel wiring of the dual coils. Each of the electronic pickups is electrically connected to a taper circuit positioned on the instrument. Each taper circuit is adjustable in real-time to vary an amplitude of the signal from the respective electronic pickup for output of the instrument.

  • Publication number: 20240010492
Abstract: The invention includes a gas processing system for transforming a hydrocarbon-containing inflow gas into outflow gas products, where the system includes a gas delivery subsystem, a plasma reaction chamber, and a microwave subsystem, with the gas delivery subsystem in fluid communication with the plasma reaction chamber, so that the gas delivery subsystem directs the hydrocarbon-containing inflow gas into the plasma reaction chamber, and the microwave subsystem directs microwave energy into the plasma reaction chamber to energize the hydrocarbon-containing inflow gas, thereby forming a plasma in the plasma reaction chamber, which plasma effects the transformation of a hydrocarbon in the hydrocarbon-containing inflow gas into the outflow gas products, which comprise acetylene and hydrogen. The invention also includes methods for the use of the gas processing system.

  • Patent number: 11817072
Abstract: Systems and methods for onboard, real-time pickup blending for electric guitars/basses may utilize every possible tonal combination that double coil pickups can offer. The industry standard pickup toggle switch may be removed from electric guitar/bass instruments. Instead of a user being limited to only using one pickup at a time to be selected, the user may mix in any combination of the pickups (top, bottom, or both) at any time. Accordingly, multiple pickups can be on at the same time and/or the user may blend in (or out) any percentage of any of the pickups that the user wishes to create a large combination of tones.

  • Publication number: 20230215409
Abstract: An interchangeable transducer system for electrical musical instruments, wherein the system embodies one or more transducer cavities formed into the musical instrument, wherein self-contained transducers can slide into and out of each transducer cavity. Thereby the same instrument can generate vastly different tonal qualities depending on the type of self-contained transducers the user interchanges within each transducer cavity.

  • Publication number: 20230109601
Abstract: The power barn system provides a way to eliminate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from livestock. The power barn system seals and traps the methane gas that is emitted from the livestock and converts the methane into electric power and carbon dioxide to enhance plant growth. The power barn system uses PV solar arrays and plastic sheeting to make sealed, airtight structure. The carbon dioxide is provided to greenhouse areas. The plants use the carbon dioxide and release oxygen, thereby eliminating most greenhouse gas emissions from livestock. The power plant uses the methane at peak times at night while solar panels supply power during the day producing zero emission meat and 24/7 electricity at better than market rates.

The power barn system uses PV solar arrays and plastic sheeting to make sealed, airtight structures. The carbon dioxide is provided to one or more sealed greenhouse areas. The plants use the carbon dioxide and release oxygen, thereby completely eliminating greenhouse gas emissions from livestock. The power plant uses the methane at peak times at night while solar panels supply power during the day producing zero emission and 24/7 electricity at better than market rates.
