  • Publication number: 20240110798
Abstract: A method is provided for determining a starting point between entities. The locations of the entities are determined in a map, a circle enclosing all entities is determined and an optimum position of the starting point is determined iteratively. The starting point initially coincides with a center point of the circle enclosing the entities. To find an optimum position of the starting point for each entity, a route is determined between the respective location and the starting point. In order to shift the position of the starting point, a sum of all of the temporal or physical distances of the routes between entities and the starting point falls below a defined maximum distance, and/or a temporal or physical distance difference between a shortest and a longest route falls below a specified maximum difference.

  • Publication number: 20120256024
Abstract: A pill crusher pouch having ribs and intersecting straight bottom seal portions. The pill crusher pouch is used for holding a pill or tablet to be crushed by a pill crusher device so as to form a powder that can easily be dispensed and provided to a patient. The ribs increase the strength of the walls of the pouch, preventing rupture. A curved flap is folded over into an open end and resiliently pressing against the inside surface of an opposing sidewall sealing the pouch.

  • Publication number: 20110098018
Abstract: A method and system for monitoring wireless service utilization is described. The teachings comprise: providing a logical database comprising service usage records providing triggers for a wireless service consumed by a wireless device; providing a contact address associated with the wireless device; after an interval, determining if the utilization consumed to-date for a current billing period by the wireless device activates one of the triggers, wherein the interval is at least an order of magnitude less than a billing period; generating a message corresponding to the activated trigger, with the message including values determined during the determining step; and sending the message to the contact address.

  • Patent number: 7364102
Abstract: A pill crusher having a rack and pinion advancing a platen. Pill crushers are used to crush pills into powder for various medicinal reasons, such as ease of mixing or dosing. A rack on a slide way is linearly advanced by rotational movement of a pinion on a handle. The slide way is attached to a platen that advances towards an anvil. A pill in a pouch placed adjacent the anvil is crushed by the advancing platen. In one embodiment, a shaped anvil insert surface is mated to a complementary shaped platen surface and aids in crushing the pill. The present invention provides an efficient and sturdy pill crusher for commercial as well as personal use.

The pill crusher pouch is used for holding a pill or tablet to be crushed by a pill crusher device so as to form a powder that can easily be dispensed and provided to a patient. The ribs increase the strength of the walls of the pouch, preventing rupture. In one embodiment, the ribs have a fiber material therein, increasing the strength. A bottom seal of the pouch is formed by straight portions intersecting at obtuse angles increase the strength of the bottom seal and permitting more complete dispensing of the powdered pill. The substantially straight portions increase strength and the obtuse angles prevent a portion of the powdered pill from being trapped within the pill pouch, thereby providing for substantially complete dispensing of the powdered pill.

  • Patent number: 7252254
Abstract: A pill or tablet crusher and splitter using a combination lever and screw action. A lever attached to a ring having an internal screw thread advances a transversely movable platen towards a transversely fixed or placed anvil crushing a pill or tablet placed between the platen and anvil. The anvil may be removable for easy cleaning. A pill or tablet splitter may be placed in a sunken area beneath an intermediate portion of the lever. The pill or tablet splitter has a tray with a plurality of slopped bottom V-shaped pill or tablet holding clamps. A blade attached to a cover-cutter is placed over the tray. The cover-cutter is forced downward by the movement of the lever splitting or cutting the pills or tablets.
