  • Publication number: 20140007753
Abstract: The invention relates to a string instrument, in particular a guitar (10B). The bridge (24B) is disposed on the upper side (20) of an instrument body (12B). The bridge (24B) is furnished with a receiver groove (26), which runs perpendicular to the strings (30) of the instrument (10B). A bridge insert (28) is inserted into the receiver groove (26). The receiver groove (266) exhibits a bridge body (70) inserted into the receiver groove (26) of the bridge (24B) and a string contact element (74) disposed at the end (72) of the bridge body (70) turned away from the instrument body (12B). The string contact element (74) serves as a support for strings (30) and is formed harder than the bridge body (70) in order to prevent a cutting in of the strings (30) into the bridge insert (28) and in order to maintain the sound quality constant over a long time period.

  • Patent number: 7939737
Abstract: The body support (2) for a guitar (1) or similar musical instruments can be removed and is shaped like a frame. It comprises a single bass clef-shaped body, the two ends (3,4) of which are attached to the guitar body (5) at a distance from each other. The body support (2) protrudes on both sides and at the end of the guitar body (5), thus facilitating the handling of the guitar (1) and accessibility to the tuning elements (6). An elastic padding (12) is provided in the holding region of the body support (2). The body support can be removed and folded for transporting the guitar (1).

  • Patent number: 6998525
Abstract: String tensioning system for a stringed instrument having an instrument body, at least one tensionable string that is fixed at both its ends to the instrument body, and a chamber accommodating a portion of the at least one tensionable string when the portion is arranged between a string introduction aperture and a fixing point arranged opposite to the string introduction aperture, wherein the system includes at least one string tensioning device that can be activated from outside of the instrument body. The at least one string tensioning device is accommodated in a chamber of the instrument body. The at least one string tensioning device includes a tensioning screw and a string tensioning head. The tensioning screw extends into the chamber. The string tensioning head is connected to the portion and is movable in a longitudinal direction by rotating the tensioning screw. A free space is arranged on opposite sides of the string tension head.
