  • Publication number: 20250277622
Abstract: A method, or system implementing such a method, are provided to uniformly cure a coating located on a substrate or heat the substrate to affect curing of the coating. The exemplary process heats the coating from the substrate outward to affect drying or curing with unique advantages over conventional curing methods. The implementation, in at least one form, uses arrays of narrowband semiconductor irradiation devices (NREDs) configured to emit energy in a narrow wavelength band suitable for generating heat at the substrate and at an absorption rate at the substrate for the selected bandwidth.

  • Publication number: 20250275546
Abstract: A system and method for thawing and/or cooking various frozen foods is provided. The system and method implement narrowband energy to execute the thawing and/or cooking process more efficiently and effectively than could be achieved in heretofore conventional techniques. In at least one form, this includes obtaining information in the thawing process that is used as feedback and control for an improved subsequent process, e.g., a cooking process.

  • Publication number: 20250277587
Abstract: A system is provided to configure and optimize a systemically approached NRED oven. Features disclosed are advantageous and very desirable to achieve the objective of creating a fully functional NRED oven system. The unique configuration of all or nearly all of these later-to-be-described elements, will enable the construction of a fully functional NRED oven that is robust, flexible in applications, and has substantial functional life in real life cooking, heating, drying, thawing, and curing applications. The system, in at least one form, provides a configuration that results in a robust and fully functional NRED oven, configured uniquely to fill a strong market need and prevent premature system or device failure.
