  • Publication number: 20100243410
Abstract: A conveyor belt cleaning and sanitizing apparatus includes a hollow porous roller situated on the obscured or return loop side of the conveyor belt, out of sight of the top or conveying surface of the belt. A perforated rod, positioned within the hollow porous roller, contains a cleaning and sanitizing solution, dispensable through a series of perforations in the rod. The cleaning and sanitizing solution is evenly distributed to the porous roller and dispensed outwardly through the hollow porous roller to remove any debris and bacteria from the conveyor belt without excess solution. The cleaning and sanitizing solution can be inserted in the perforated rod using a pump from a tank reservoir. The pumping system is capable of metering the amount of fluid for application to the belt, based on usage of the belt. A tray can be situated below the hollow porous roller to contain debris and fluids removed from the conveyor belt surface.

  • Patent number: 5794483
Abstract: A fin forming device folds fin material into a plurality of corrugations by creating a fold radius at each fold. The device comprises a substantially rectangular plane of metal having a front side, and an opposing back side. The perimeter of the plane is defined by a top edge which is applied to the fin material to form the fold radius, a bottom edge, and a pair of opposing side edges. Initially, each of the edges has a substantially similar thickness. An angled surface is created on at least one side of the plane, commencing in an interior area of the plane below the top edge of the plane and terminating at the top edge of the plane. This creates an angled blade surface along at least a portion of the top edge of the plane. The angled blade surface has a narrower thickness than the initial edge thickness.

  • Patent number: 5722145
Abstract: A quick change device is adaptable for use on a reciprocating press fin machine which continuously forms a metal sheet into sinuous or corrugated configuration by using tools associated with upper and lower opposed, metal-engaging tools, each movable toward and away from the other in a vertical forming stroke, and a first one of these tools also being movable in a variable stroke transverse to its vertical forming stroke. Wedge-shaped abutment elements and associated block elements having a wedge-shaped cavity therein adapted to receive the abutment elements, establish the length of transverse motion of the first tool. A structure is used to simulate the reciprocating press fin machine. A reader assembly digitally analyzes movement of the wedge-shaped abutment elements to set the transverse stroke length, based on the simulation provided by the structure, to allow precise alignment of the tools in the reciprocating press fin machine.
