  • Publication number: 20240192000
Abstract: A method for determining a starting point between two entities that are configured to determine their location and to communicate using a communication interface. The locations of the entities are determined in map material. A route, composed of at least two route points each connected by a route section, between the two locations of the entities is determined in the map material. In order to iteratively ascertain a position of the starting point on the route, the route sections included in the route are subdivided into route subsections with the result that a section of the route extending from the location of a first entity to the starting point can be covered in the same time and/or has the same length as a section of the route extending from the location of a second entity to the starting point.

  • Publication number: 20240110798
Abstract: A method is provided for determining a starting point between entities. The locations of the entities are determined in a map, a circle enclosing all entities is determined and an optimum position of the starting point is determined iteratively. The starting point initially coincides with a center point of the circle enclosing the entities. To find an optimum position of the starting point for each entity, a route is determined between the respective location and the starting point. In order to shift the position of the starting point, a sum of all of the temporal or physical distances of the routes between entities and the starting point falls below a defined maximum distance, and/or a temporal or physical distance difference between a shortest and a longest route falls below a specified maximum difference.

  • Publication number: 20230153794
Abstract: A method for performing a payment process involves receiving registration information from the user and transmitting the registration information to a card network of the payment system. The card network generates a payment token dependent on the at least one registration information and a corresponding cryptogram for the payment token. The payment token is received from the card network and stored. Payment data is generated using at least the payment token and omitting the cryptogram. The payment data is transmitted to a merchant usable to conduct a transaction with the merchant by the electronic computing device of the user.

  • Publication number: 20140006286
Abstract: A method to initiate payment is provided. The method includes registering a seller with a service provider, registering a customer with the service provider, starting a payment process, reading a biometric identifier of a customer and transmitting the biometric identifier to the service provider, comparing the read biometric identifier with stored biometric data to generate a comparison result and initiating payment with the comparison result and with other stored data.
