  • Patent number: 6012941
Abstract: A set of two locking devices for permanently securing in place a detachable socket of an electric power supply cable and for preventing access to the electric plug on the opposite end of the cable. Both devices are locked by the same key which is used for tightening bolts on the locking device of the socket and for locking a box-like enclosure around the plug. The set is intended for preventing access of unauthorized individuals to electric appliances, instruments and devices. It is also intended for limiting access by children to electric appliances, as well as to television and video games in the absence of parental supervision.

  • Patent number: 5878609
Abstract: The invention is based on the principle that the antitheft device has a body of a hard material which cannot be easily cut through and which covers the points of connection of at least one rib with the steering wheel rim and the steering wheel hub. As a result, even though the uncovered rim portion or uncovered ribs are cut through, the device still preserves its antitheft functions, and the vehicle remain non-steerable. The body of the device has a U-shaped cross-sectional configuration so that the device can be hooked up over the wheel rim and then locked to the rim by a lock.

  • Patent number: 5758526
Abstract: A lock has a rotatable member (24), a latch member (22) operatively connected to the rotatable member for movement between locked and unlocked positions when the rotatable member is turned, a key stop (38) having an end facing toward an exposed end of a casing (10) that defines, together with the end of the rotatable member facing toward the exposed end of the casing a dead-end wall. Key stop (38)is mounted for axial reciprocation in, and for combined rotation with rotatable member (24) and has in the end facing toward the exposed end at least one code socket (46, 48) offset with respect to the axis of rotation of the rotatable member. The lock also has a rotatable spring-loaded block (54) mounted between the exposed end of the casing and the end of the key stop. The block is held in the casing against axial movement and has a substantially diametrical key slot (72) angularly offset with respect to the code socket. The key stop is axially pressed against the rotatable block by a spring (42).

  • Patent number: 5706681
Abstract: An antitheft locking device has a steering wheel engaging member (30) with an end wall (32) covering the steering wheel (12) over its part that includes at least two ribs (16, 18), a peripheral wall (33) extending over at least a part of the outer periphery of a rim (14) of the steering wheel, and two spaced stops (34) protruding from end wall (32) and engageable with the ribs. A stop member (24) attached to steering wheel engaging member (30) extends at an angle with respect to its end wall (32) and is engageable with a fixed part (26) of a vehicle. A locking mechanism has a lock (60) made fast to steering wheel engaging member (30) and a locking member (72) connected to the steering wheel engaging member for movement to a locked position in which locking member (72) and steering wheel engaging member (30) fully enclose rim (14) of steering wheel (12).

  • Patent number: 5505235
Abstract: A container having a breakable pouring cap (116) for pouring oil into an oil tank (114). The cap (112) is snapped onto a neck portion (116) through the engagement of an inner projection (146) on the open end of the cap (112) and an outward annular projection (122) on the neck portion (116) of the container. The cap is sealed by means of a pair of annular radial projections (122 and 124) on the outer surface of the neck portion (116) of the container, these projections having sliding fit with the inner surface of the cap (112). The end face of the neck portion (116) is skewed and forms a piercing tip (130) at its lowermost end and a cutting edge (128) on the remaining peripheral portion of the end face. In use, the container is inserted in an inverted position so that the breakable cap extends into an inlet opening (111), e.g., of the oil tank.
