  • Publication number: 20250234380
Abstract: a first electronic device includes: a first transceiver; at least one first processor; and a first memory configured to store at least one instruction which, when executed by the at least one first processor, causes the first electronic device to: transmit an action frame to a second electronic device, wherein the action frame includes a request that any DL TXOP initiated by the second electronic device begin with an ICF that signals a duration of the DL TXOP, receive the ICF requesting the DL TXOP from the second electronic device, wherein the ICF signals the duration of the DL TXOP, based on determining that a Coex event is scheduled to occur during the duration of the DL TXOP, transmit a CTS-EXT frame signaling a modification to the DL TXOP, and, after the modification is implemented, receive at least one frame during the DL TXOP according to the modification.

  • Publication number: 20250088958
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for implementing power saving protocols for devices in a wireless communication system. A method performed by an AP is provided, which includes transmitting, to a STA, a first message indicating a power save schedule of the AP; and transitioning, during a scheduled time window, from an awake state to a reduced power state, based on the power save schedule. The reduced power state is associated with a power state transition capability.

  • Publication number: 20250088897
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for improving energy efficiency of an AP MLD utilizing TTLM. A method performed by an AP MLD is provided, which includes establishing, with a non-AP MLD, a first link between a first STA of the non-AP MLD and a first AP of the AP MLD and a second link between a second STA of the non-AP MLD and a second AP of the AP MLD, mapping a plurality of TIDs to the first link and the second link utilizing TTLM; identifying a first event triggering a reduced power operation mode on the second link; and modifying a number of the plurality of TIDs mapped to the second link utilizing the TTLM, in response to identifying the first event.

  • Publication number: 20230299954
Abstract: A method for secure provisioning of a wireless communications channel includes a discovery phase and a provisioning phase, the discovery phase comprising: a first device: receiving a first local physical presence signal; a second device: receiving a second local physical presence signal; generating an asymmetric public-private key pair including a public key and a private key; scanning a plurality of channels by transmitting a request to be provisioned signal including the generated public key to receive a ready to provision signal; if the ready to provision signal was received over exactly one of the scanned plurality of channels, identifying the exactly one channel as the channel; the first device: receiving the request to be provisioned signal at least once; if the request to be provisioned signal was received with exactly one public key, proceeding to the provisioning phase; the provisioning phase comprising: one of the second device or the first device: allocating a secure link with the other of the seco

  • Patent number: 9148892
Abstract: A communication device capable of transmitting data on a communications channel, the communications channel capable of being shared with a number of stations, the communication device being configured to determine a back-off period, the back-off period being a period of time for which the communication device delays transmission of data after determining that the communications channel is idle, wherein the communication device is configured to determine the back-off period in such a way as to favor a decrease in the back-off period in response to an increase in the number of stations.

  • Publication number: 20150230270
Abstract: Managing access to a time-slotted communications medium by masking interrogatory codes that are contained in signals demarcating time slots of the medium and comparing the masked interrogatory codes against masked response codes. Access to the medium is dependent on the outcome of these comparisons.

  • Publication number: 20140062784
Abstract: The present invention relates to improving the throughput and power efficiency of communication systems that use beamforming to accurately orient transmission of signals between emitters and receivers. A first communication device implements adaptive beamforming with respect to a second communication device. That is, the first communication device controls the degree and/or direction of the anisotropy of a receiver and/or transmitter that it comprises according to the direction in which the second communication device is determined to lie, said determination being made using a communication between the first and second devices at a particular time. A suitable time for that adaptive beamforming communication to be made is chosen according to position data obtained from one or both of the communication devices.

  • Patent number: 8238369
Abstract: A system for transmitting data from two or more data streams on a communication channel between two or more devices. Roughly described, the data from each data stream is transmitted on the channel in the form of data packets, at least one data packet of one or more of the data streams being transmitted in between the data packets of the other data streams. The system is characterized in that the system comprises means to generate or process data packets for at least one of the data streams for transmission, the generated or processed data packets having a size below a certain value. Collisions between data packets of different data streams are thereby reduced.
