Patent number: 9879434Abstract: A flooring module (100) for forming a temporary access floor comprises a base component (1) defining a cruciform channel formation (3, 4) for receiving cabling or the like. The channels (3, 4) have a floor (1A) defined by the base component and a removable channel cover (2). The channel cover (2) comprises one or more channel cover components for covering the channel formation, such that the channel formation and channel cover may combine to provide a closed channel for the cabling or the like. Removal of the cover (2) allows access to the channel formation from above, in use. The sides of the base component (1) define module connector clips (20, 21) for engaging with corresponding module connector clips on adjacent modules to lock the modules together in an array. The base component (1) defines retaining formations (13, 14) for engaging with and retaining the channel cover components over the channel formation.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 2015Date of Patent: January 30, 2018Assignee: QLX Pty LtdInventors: Michael David Boyd, Mark Gray

Publication number: 20170123950Abstract: Technologies are provided for non-monotonic eventual convergence for desired state configuration. One class of problem in DSC is that, in some situations, DSC cannot move forward toward a desired state without first moving further from the desired state. For example, an executable file providing a service that needs to be replaced with a newer version, but that is currently executing (i.e., in the desired state of “operating”), cannot be replaced with the newer version without first being stopped. But stopping the service moves in the wrong direction relative to the desired state, which is to have the service operating. This moving away from the desired state so as to be able to move closer to the desired state is a problem for conventional DSC systems that results in failures. The solution to this problem is herein referred to as “non-monotonic eventual convergence” or “NMEC”.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 29, 2015Publication date: May 4, 2017Inventors: Bruce Gordon Payette, Hemant Mahawar, Kenneth M. Patent number: 7631064Abstract: A method and apparatus is disclosed for determining interconnections of network devices. The network devices are connected together based on a set of general guidelines. A first network device is associated with a power state that is changed. Whether an alteration occurs at a second network device in response to the change in power state of the first network device is identified and stored. The changing of the power state of the first network device may be in response to a third network device and may be performed via a power controller. The alteration at the second network device may be a link becoming hot or the raising of a trap that is set at a switch. Errors are identified by comparing whether an alteration is identified to information in a database. Different types of interconnections may be determined in a series of phases by testing different types of devices.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 2001Date of Patent: December 8, 2009Assignee: Sun Microsystems, Inc.Inventor: Mark Gray
