  • Publication number: 20140091685
Abstract: A portable spice rack that comprises a square or rectangular shaped housing and a plurality of spice drawers which are stacked vertically within the housing. The spice drawers provide a plurality of compartments that are uniquely designed to accommodate storing and retrieving varying shaped and sized spice bottles or other types of containers. Specifically, the spice drawer provides a substantially rectangular compartment having a base further providing a slot formed by an opening and opposed supporting walls. The rectangular compartment and slot within the base coact to enable, in particular, square, rectangular, and/or circular spice bottles or containers, or any combination thereof, to be stored and retrieved at the same time within any of the plurality of compartments within the spice rack.

  • Patent number: 8291407
Abstract: The disclosure is directed to systems and methods for patching computer programs. In one example, a patch is virtually installed to a computing device having a base file system and configuration, a computer program, and a patch layering subsystem. The virtual installation may include storing content of the patch to a patch layer, and generating and storing mapping data defining at least one relationship between the content in the patch layer and content in the base file system and configuration. The virtually installed patch may be enabled, including applying the mapping data to the patch layering subsystem such that the patch layering subsystem is configured for selectively redirecting access requests from the base file system and configuration to the patch layer. In certain embodiments, the enabled patch may be disabled by reversing the application of the mapping data to the patch layering subsystem.

  • Publication number: 20120243766
Abstract: A method and system for evaluating images, such as x-ray image, to provide feedback that can be used for subsequent image acquisition. The feedback may be used to adjust the positioning of a patient with respect to an image capture device, or a setting of the image capture device. The image capture device may be part of a dental x-ray imaging system that generates an x-ray image of the patent and provides the image to a collector service. The image is evaluated by the collector service for positioning errors and other operator correctable issues that may have had an impact on the image quality. A report that includes feedback regarding the operator correctable issues, as well as suggested corrective action, is generated and provided to the imaging system operator.

  • Patent number: 8191508
Abstract: A wild bird feeder comprising a container and a base. A cable extends through the container and the base and is provided with a hanging loop at one end and a bottom cover at the other end for retaining the components of the bird feeder between them and suspending the bird feeder in a hanging position when hung from a tree or otherwise. The container comprises and is formed by a cover, a dome, a collar, and a hopper. The cover is provided with a star shaped opening that frictionally engages with the hanging cable for enabling the separation of the cover from the dome to fill the bird feeder when the bird feeder is in the hanging position. The collar comprises a plurality of divider walls for creating a plurality of sections to direct the bird feed when filling the bird feeder. The hopper comprises a vertical column having a plurality of ports. The base comprises a tray having a conical shaped cone that is centrally located within the vertical column for directing the bird seed out the plurality of ports.

  • Publication number: 20110225890
Abstract: A gate for selectively restricting passage through a passageway includes a frame having a sill and first and second door jambs adapted for mounting within the passageway. A door is mounted by hinges to the first door jamb while a latch receptacle is mounted to the second door jamb. A pedal is movably mounted to the door as is a latch element. The latch element is slidable between an extended position, where the latch element engages the latch receptacle so that the door of the gate is locked in a closed position, and a retracted position, where the latch element is removed from the latch receptacle so that the door may be moved into an open position. A sliding linkage is connected between the pedal and the latch element so that the latch element is moved into the retracted position when the pedal is actuated. A magnet is positioned in the latch element and in the latch receptacle so as to pull the latch element into the extended position when the latch element is not engaged by the sliding linkage.

  • Patent number: 7865952
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for pre-emptively isolating vulnerabilities, or potential vulnerabilities in a network. In one embodiment, application data corresponding to a plurality of software applications hosted by respective network devices is stored in a network database. Based on the application data, a set of applications is determined that correspond to a software update. The set of applications are then blocked such that they cannot be executed until the software update is applied or until it is determined that they do not include a vulnerability targeted by the software update. In some embodiments, applications are blocked when a vulnerability becomes known, even if a fix for the vulnerability is not yet known. In one embodiment, new devices attempting to connect to the network are restricted until known vulnerabilities are resolved.

  • Patent number: 7006600
Abstract: An integrated digital x-ray diagnostic system and a method for conducting dental radiography which includes optimizing exposure settings based on certain physical parameters of a patient, communicating the operational status of the x-ray generator and the exposure settings directly to the a CCD sensor without radiation sensitive detector elements, and supplying various viewing stations with image data thereby improving dental office workflow. The activation of the sensor and the x-ray source are coordinated so as to avoid pre-integration of charge in the image sensor, and at the same time reduce risk of over-exposure to the patient.
