Publication number: 20240100518Abstract: The presently described techniques relate generally to providing motion feedback (e.g., motion system calibration and/or sample alignment) in the context of an imaging system (such as a time delay and integration (TDI) based imaging system). The architecture and techniques discussed may achieve nanoscale control and calibration of a movement feedback system without a high-resolution encoder subsystem or, in the alternative embodiments, with a lower resolution (and correspondingly less expensive) encoder subsystem than might otherwise be employed. By way of example, certain embodiments described herein relate to ascertaining or calibrating linear motion of a sample holder surface using nanoscale features (e.g., sample sites or nanowells or lithographically patterned features) provided on a surface of the sample holder.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 26, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Inventors: Matthew Hage, John Earney, Gregory Holst, Mark Majette

Patent number: 10300285Abstract: Electrical stimulation sources and amplitudes are allocated to implantable electrodes based on impedance values for controlled delivery of electrical stimulation therapy to a patient. Allocation may include assigning implantable electrodes, in a group of active electrodes, to clusters based on impedance values of the electrodes, coupling the electrode clusters to respective stimulation sources, and defining respective stimulation amplitudes delivered by the stimulation sources to the electrode clusters. Each cluster may include electrodes having relatively similar impedance values, such that electrodes in each cluster present less variation in impedance relative to impedance variation across the group of electrodes. With reduced variation in impedance, in some examples, variation in current outflow through electrodes in each cluster may be reduced, promoting more uniform distribution of stimulation current across the group of active electrodes and a more uniform stimulation field.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 2017Date of Patent: May 28, 2019Assignee: Medtronic Bakken Research Center B.V.Inventors: Mattias Bengt Johan Astrom, Mark Hage, Hubert Cecile François Martens, Kambiz Nanbakhsh, Erik van Veenendaal

Patent number: 8866733Abstract: A display device includes a row driver configured to provide a row voltage, and a row electrode connected to the row driver. A column driver is configured to provide a column voltage to a column electrode. Further, a common driver is configured to provide a common electrode that includes a negative level. In addition, a controller is configured to switch the common electrode between at least two levels when all rows have a non-select level of the row voltage. The controller may be further configured to switch the common electrode at a substantially same time and with a substantially same voltage swing as a storage voltage of a storage capacitor.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 2013Date of Patent: October 21, 2014Assignee: Creator Technology B.V.Inventors: Wieger Markvoort, Hjalmar Edzer Ayco Huitema, Leendert Mark Hage

Patent number: 8860658Abstract: An electrophoretic display unit is presented that comprises an electrophoretic display panel (1). A medium (5) having embedded therein a plurality of electrophoretic display elements (7) is controlled by a first and a second pixel electrode (22b, 6). In addition a sensor constructed to generate a signal (ST) indicative for a temperature of the display panel and a driver (15) for driving the display panel (1) is provided. The sensor (250) includes a resistance sensor constructed to detect a resistance of the medium (5) between a first (22c) and a second sensor electrode (6), and the driver is controllable according to the resistance detected by the resistance sensor.Type: GrantFiled: May 17, 2010Date of Patent: October 14, 2014Assignee: Creator Technology B.V.Inventors: Leendert Mark Hage, Bart Peeters, Cornelis Jan Hendrik de Zeeuw, Erik van Veenendaal, Hjalmar Edzer Ayco Huitema, Petrus Johannes Gerardus van Lieshout, Johannes Cornelis Adriaan Hamers
