  • Patent number: 11933100
Abstract: Thermally broken fenestration systems are provided that improve performance characteristics or combinations thereof, including strength and thermal conductivity. Embodiments disclosed include one or more fenestration frame assemblies, each having an interior frame member and an exterior frame member. The interior frame members and exterior frame members are coupled together via a plurality of bridges distributed along the length of the respective fenestration frame assembly. The bridges provide structural rigidity, while providing a plurality of air gaps between interior frame member and the exterior frame member to provide a thermal break.

  • Publication number: 20240078628
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for a high-performance and low-latency implementation of a wavelet-based image compression scheme. A processor may generate, in a single pass for each of a plurality of horizontal and vertical divisions of an image frame, a set of wavelet coefficients for the image frame based on a DWT. The processor may select a set of bits associated with the set of wavelet coefficients to remove based on an entropy coding process. The processor may serialize the set of wavelet coefficients, where the set of serialized wavelet coefficients do not include the set of bits. The processor may output, for a second device, a bitstream including the set of serialized wavelet coefficients.

  • Publication number: 20230009301
Abstract: A flow regulation device for volatile and semi-volatile sampling onto adsorbent media is provided. The flow regulation device includes a housing having an inlet, an outlet, a secondary inlet that is open to the ambient, a real time flow meter, a controller in electronic communication with the flow meter, and a three-way valve. Gas is drawn through the adsorbent media, into the inlet, and then to the outlet by a vacuum source joined to the outlet. The controller is configured to: (1) actuate the three-way valve to put the vacuum source in-line with the inlet; (2) continuously monitor the flow of gas through the inlet and calculate the time necessary to sample a pre-set volume of gas; and (3) after the pre-set volume of gas passes through the inlet, actuate the three-way valve to put the vacuum source in-line with the secondary inlet.

  • Patent number: 10324777
Abstract: An example device may include processing circuitry and a management controller. The processing circuitry may include a communications interface that includes a first register and a second register. The first register may include a freshness bit and a number of first data bits. The second register may include a number of second data bits that correspond, respectively, to the first data bits. The processing circuitry may write variously to the first data bits in response to detected events, set the freshness bit in response to the management controller reading the first data bits, and reset the freshness bit if any of the first data bits are written to. The management controller may read the first data bits, perform predetermined processing based thereon, write to the second data bits based on the predetermined processing, and request a register transfer.

  • Patent number: 9489840
Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods of the present invention include efficient, reliable aggregation and transfer of one or more sensor pods detect status to the base station and then the traffic controller. An embodiment of an access point maintains a sensor state array, which is the current status of the sensor pods in communication with the access point. The access point can maintain the sensor state array in its memory and relay the sensor state array to the base station. An embodiment of a base station can use the sensor state array information to generate and update a vehicle detector array, which is the current status of all the sensor pods in the wireless vehicle detector network. An embodiment of the base station emulates one or more bus interface units and uses the vehicle detector array to relay detector information to the traffic controller periodically or when polled.

  • Patent number: 9412270
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include a wireless vehicle detection systems and associated methods with extended range and battery life. The wireless vehicle detection system can include a plurality of sensor pods in communication with an access point without repeaters. Embodiments of the sensor pod can include a vehicle detector controller adapted to determine the presence of vehicles and a communication controller connected to the vehicle detector and adapted to transmit data 300 feet or more to an access point, which in turns communicates with the base station. To extend the battery life of the sensor pod, the sensor pod can be adapted to detect received communication signal strength and adjust transmitting power based upon the strength to thereby conserve power. Embodiments of the sensor pod can also include a battery connected in parallel to an HLC capacitor to further extend the life of the battery.
