  • Publication number: 20230175022
Abstract: Provided herein are processes, such as commercially viable processes, of producing alkyl resorcinols, such as olivetol and olivetolic acid, and analogs of each thereof. Certain of these processes utilize a recombinant, heterologous host microorganism. Certain of the heterologous microorganisms include a Cannabis sativa olivetol synthase (which is a tetraketide synthase, csOLS). Certain of the heterologous microorganisms include a Cannabis sativa olivetolic acid cyclase (csOAC). Certain of the heterologous microorganisms include a Cannabis sativa acyl activating enzyme (csAAE), such as, without limitation, csAAE1. In certain of these processes, glucose is fermented. In certain of these processes, the fermentation further comprises a carboxylic acid, RCO2H where R is defined as herein, or a salt thereof. Certain of these processes provide olivetol and olivetolic acid in a combined amount of at least 3 g/liter.

  • Patent number: 6853618
Abstract: An apparatus for establishing circuits in an ATM network. The apparatus includes a controller which attempts to establish a circuit according to original quality of service requirements of a UPC associated with the circuit, which determines available resources of the ATM network and which automatically relaxes the original quality of service requirements associated with a circuit for the circuit to be formed in the ATM network with the available resources of the ATM network. The apparatus includes a memory which stores a plurality of different quality of service requirements. The memory is connected to the controller for the controller to obtain different quality of service requirements for the controller to automatically relax the original quality of service requirements with different quality of service requirements. A method for establishing circuits in an ATM network.

  • Patent number: 6690671
Abstract: A system for sending data. The system includes a telecommunications network which supports connections. Each connection has a first attribute. The first attribute is that the connection has unspecified traffic. The network includes switches, and links which connect the switches. The system includes a routing module connected to the switches. The routing module has a mechanism for attributing a second attribute associated with transmission to each connection on the network. The second attribute is different than the first attribute. The routing module forms connections on the network based on the first attribute and the second attribute. A method for sending data. The method includes the steps of defining a telecommunications network which supports a connection having a first attribute. The first attribute is that the connection has unspecified traffic which travels on the connection. Then there is the step of attributing a second attribute associated with transmission to the connection on the network.
