  • Publication number: 20170324154
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are related to digital display devices and base stations such as small cell base stations, which may include at least one antenna and a radio. More specifically, digital display devices are being increasingly deployed in airports, along roads and highways, in shopping malls, in rural or highly urban areas where additional cellular coverage is desirable. These digital display devices provide desirable mounting locations for cellular equipment because they are already powered. One or more components of the base station may be concealed from view by a concealment device to satisfy aesthetic or design requirements. In some aspects, this concealment device may be a fabric radome. In some aspects, the concealment device may be the digital display device itself, because the digital display device is dimensioned such that at least some components of the base station may be hidden behind or within the digital display device.

  • Publication number: 20120190292
Abstract: An enclosure houses heat-producing equipment and includes an air conditioner, a fan, and at least one controller for controlling the air conditioner and the fan. The controller runs the air conditioner when a temperature of the interior is greater than or equal to an on temperature and turns the air conditioner off when the temperature of the interior is less than or equal to an off temperature. If the ambient temperature outside the enclosure is less than the off temperature and the air conditioner is off, the controller turns the fan on until the temperature of the interior is less than the off temperature by a first amount and then turns the fan off. Also a method for controlling the temperature of an enclosure using an air conditioner and a fan.

  • Patent number: 8154886
Abstract: A cable organization unit includes a housing. A tray is attached to the housing by at least one slide, and is movable between a first position and a second position relative to the housing. A hood is removably secured to the tray. A user may remove the hood from the tray to access adapters attached to a bulkhead on the tray. The tray may include a latch for securing the tray to the housing in the first position, and the hood may be removed from the tray while the tray is in the first or second positions. A retainer is optionally attached to the housing. • Patent number: 7974094
Abstract: An outdoor equipment cabinet includes a housing with an equipment compartment therein. An intake air vent and an exit air vent are formed in the housing. A fan is mounted within the housing for pulling air into the intake air vent, moving an air stream through the equipment compartment, and pushing air out of the exit air vent. A membrane is disposed adjacent the intake air vent. The membrane allows air to pass therethrough, but resists the passage of water and contaminants therethrough. In some embodiments, a baffling plate is disposed to direct the air stream within the equipment compartment, and/or the fan speed is controlled by a temperature sensor, and/or a clogging of the membrane is monitored and reported, and/or the intake air vent is located in a first door and the exit air vent is located in a second door of the cabinet.
