  • Publication number: 20180288931
Abstract: An agricultural tillage implement has a main frame with a plurality of ground support wheels, and a finishing attachment arranged behind a group of primary seedbed preparation tools. The finishing attachment includes a reel assembly having an over-frame tube to which reel standards are attached, and reel arms that connect the over-frame tube to the implement frame. The reel arms are attached to the over-frame tube by a flex pivoting connection that allows at least one degree of freedom movement when the reel encounters an obstruction. The reel assembly includes a rolling reel basket having slats made from half-round material. The slats are oriented with leading edges that provide clod breakage and residue pinning action during their descent, and rounded surfaces for firming soil at their lowest quadrant position. A push configuration treader assembly with multiple operation modes can be mounted compactly close to and ahead of the reel assembly.

  • Patent number: 9497897
Abstract: An agricultural implement (10) has front and rear gangs (12, 13) of rotatable tillage tools arranged to follow each other along a line of travel. The front and rear gangs (12, 13) are mounted to a main frame (21F), which is mechanically linked to a hitch frame (22) by a self-leveling linkage system (32, 33). The linkage system (32, 33) includes a spring assembly (48) arranged to allow relative movement between the hitch frame (22) and the main frame (21F) when the implement (10) is in a lowered field working position. The linkage system (32, 33) has a pivoting cam (41) for changing the field working preload of the spring assembly (48) to provide multiple hitch operation modes. The linkage system (32, 33) is arranged to make the main frame (21F) level and the hitch frame (22) rigid relative to the main frame (21F) when the implement (10) is in a raised position.

  • Publication number: 20100314144
Abstract: A multisection tandem disk harrow has a frame, a first disk gang, and a second disk gang. The concave sides of the disk blades in the first disk gang face one side of the disk harrow, and the concave sides of the disk blades in the second disk gang face the other side of the disk harrow. The disk blades in the first disk gang are mounted for rotation about a common axis that extends through a center of the disk blades. The disk blades in the second disk gang are mounted for rotation about respective individual axes that are substantially parallel with and spaced apart from each other. The first and second disk gangs are arranged so that the common axis of the first disk gang is nonparallel with the individual axes of the second disk gang. Various frame, support wheels, disk gang, and hitch configurations are also disclosed.
