  • Patent number: 12225555
Abstract: A method disclosed includes receiving data from a plurality of data sources in a broadcast core network for transmission over a radio access network (RAN). The method includes assigning radio spectrum resources for transmitting the data over the RAN according to a policy guidance set by a plurality of network operators for sharing the radio spectrum resources and generating a baseband packet corresponding to the data at a distributed unit (DU) in the RAN. The method includes collecting transmission data from a plurality of user equipments (UEs) in the RAN for training a machine learning algorithm and scheduling transmission of the generated baseband packet to a remote unit (RU) over a fronthaul in a radio topology of a plurality of radio topologies under control of the machine learning algorithm according to the policy guidance. The generated baseband packet is compatible for transmission in the plurality of radio technologies.

  • Publication number: 20240094741
Abstract: Disclosed herein are a method and apparatus for automated following behind a lead vehicle. The lead vehicle navigates a path from a starting point to a destination. The lead vehicle and the following vehicle are connected via V2V communication, allowing one or more following vehicles to detect the path taken by the lead vehicle. A computerized control system on the following vehicle (a Follow-the-Leader, or FTL, system) allows the following vehicle to mimic the behavior of the lead vehicle, with the FTL system controlling steering to guide the following vehicle along the path previously navigated by the lead vehicle. In some embodiments, the lead vehicle and following vehicle may both use Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) position coordinates. In some embodiments, the following vehicle may also have a system of sensors to maintain a gap between the following and lead vehicles.

  • Publication number: 20230023351
Abstract: A floating barrier float section, and a waterfront barrier system formed from a number of connected float sections. An elongated main flotation tube has radially outwardly extending fence posts with connecting members, such as nets, between them, forming multiple longitudinal net sections about the circumference of the flotation tube, at least one of the net sections extending upwardly and forming a barrier to vessel passage. A vessel strike tends to rotate the flotation tube about its longitudinal axis, absorbing the energy from the strike and rotating the flotation tube to bring another net section into position. An underwater ballast member and a stabilizer float member may be added for additional resistance to rotation.

  • Patent number: 11371808
Abstract: A boat gate system for controlling vessel access to a port or similar waterbody has a number of connected, floating Port Security Barrier (“PSB”) segments. A remote latching and unlatching mechanism, combined with a powered mover mounted on one or more PSB segments, permits remote unlatching of the PSB segments; moving the PSB segments to a desired location (whether rotating same about a point, or moving a longer section laterally) so as to open the PSB, then moving the PSBs back to a closed position and latching same. Both the unlatching, movement, and latching are remotely controlled. Positional indicators, for example Global Positioning Systems or similar systems, are provided to monitor and assist in controlling PSB segment movement and unlatching, and movement of the PSB segments in a desired direction to a desired location.

  • Publication number: 20200160723
Abstract: Systems and methods for increasing the safety of vehicle platooning systems are described. In one aspect, a determination is made as to how many trailers are connected to a tractor, and whether those trailers and any dollies are equipped with an Anti-Lock Braking System. For example, multiple processes for determining whether an Anti-Lock Braking System is operating correctly may be employed to prevent false positives and false negatives. Such processes may determine rates of messages received from Anti-Lock Braking System units, types of messages received from Anti-Lock Braking System units, and/or amounts of types of messages received from Anti-Lock Braking System units.

  • Publication number: 20180193312
Abstract: The present invention is a nutraceutical formulation, intended for oral administration, comprising co-administered if not co-formulated melatonin together with at least one of strontium, Vitamin D, and Vitamin K or their analogues. The nutraceutical combination or formulation is designed to be taken by mouth within about two hours prior to bedtime, and in fact should not be taken at any other time. The combination therapy gives new and unexpectedly improved results compared to the administration of melatonin alone.

  • Patent number: 9893892
Abstract: This invention provides a simple and secure PIN unblock mechanism for use with a security token. A set of one or more passphrases are stored on a remote server during personalization. Likewise, the answers to the passphrases are hashed and stored inside the security token for future comparison. A local client program provides the user input and display dialogs and ensures a secure communications channel is provided before passphrases are retrieved from the remote server. Retrieval of passphrases and an administrative unblock secret from the remote server are accomplished using a unique identifier associated with the security token, typically the token's serial number. A PIN unblock applet provides the administrative mechanism to unblock the security token upon receipt of an administrative unblock shared secret. The remote server releases the administrative unblock shared secret only after a non-forgeable confirmatory message is received from the security token that the user has been properly authenticated.

  • Publication number: 20170171048
Abstract: A computing device automatically detects technical conditions for calls, such as voice calls, in a communication system. The technical conditions include transport type (e.g., TCP, UDP), connection type (e.g., wired, wireless local area network, mobile/cellular), packet loss, latency, and jitter. The computing device performs automatic analysis of the detected technical conditions. The automatic analysis may include comparing the detected transport type with a preferred transport type (e.g., a non-TCP transport, such as UDP), comparing the detected connection type with a preferred connection type (e.g., wired), or comparing packet loss, latency, or jitter with corresponding threshold values (e.g., maximum values or average values). The computing device automatically generates output related to one or more of the detected technical conditions based at least in part on the automatic analysis.
