  • Publication number: 20180095705
Abstract: A method includes: detecting a request to create a variable print product that will be physically printed using user-provided values for a plurality of predefined elements. In response to detecting the request, the method includes: displaying a user interface with: (i) a preview region that includes a preview of the variable print product and (ii) an editing region that includes a subset of the plurality of predefined elements, the subset including a first element. While displaying the user interface, detecting, at the electronic device, user input that provides a value for the first element. If the first element is associated with an input-acceptance rule, the method includes: determining whether the user input satisfies the input-acceptance rule. If the user input satisfies the input-acceptance rule, the method includes: accepting the value and updating the preview of the variable print product based to include the user-defined value for the first element.

  • Publication number: 20170308340
Abstract: Systems and methods of managing print procurement systems based on item-specific interest levels and supplier-influenced thresholds are disclosed herein. An example method includes: receiving a request to view ordering information for a fixed plurality of physical items associated with a time period. In response, the method includes: displaying a respective user interface (UI) object for each physical item of the fixed plurality (e.g., a first UI object for a first physical item includes a visual representation of an aggregate interest level during the time period as compared to a threshold interest level, and the aggregate interest level reflects a quantity requested by two distinct users).

  • Publication number: 20110143359
Abstract: The invention provides a method for generating and selecting drug-sensitizing antisense DNA fragments. In one embodiment, the method includes identifying a gene of interest using knowledge of bacterial physiology, biochemistry, genetics, genomics, and other means. The method includes PCR amplification of a gene of interest using genomic DNA as a template; fragmentation of the DNA by sonication or other means; selecting DNA fragments no longer than 400 base pairs; ligating the DNA fragments into a suitable expression plasmid with a selectable marker; transforming the plasmids containing the DNA fragments into the organism from which the gene of interest originated; and selecting clones from transformed cells that show a phenotypic difference of the clone grown in the presence of the inducer relative to the phenotype in the absence of inducer.
