  • Publication number: 20250256845
Abstract: Perimeter devices, vehicles, including autonomous vehicles and human-controlled vehicles, UAVs, and related systems and methods are described. Perimeter devices respond to triggering events, such as vehicle-immobilizing events, GPS-based events, and environment-based events, to establish a perimeter adjacent a vehicle such that observers can visually detect the presence of a signal member, such as a warning triangle having a reflective surface. An example vehicle includes a tractor unit, a trailer connected to the tractor unit, a storage enclosure associated with the tractor unit, and a plurality of perimeter devices disposed in the chamber. Each perimeter device is adapted to deploy from the vehicle and establish a perimeter by the vehicle in response to a triggering event, such as parking of the vehicle in a location for which a perimeter must be established, impact of the vehicle with another object, rollover, or mechanical and/or electrical failure of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20250258297
Abstract: The ParaDrop Operation Transponder (100) is a device that increases safety, visibility, and separation of paradrop operations by aircraft and air traffic controllers at high-volume airports and remote off-airport DZs (drop zones) for use at all altitudes and during night and day operations. The ParaDrop Operation Transponder (100) provides aircraft the ability to avoid parachute canopies utilized during high speed free fall, all weather and/or night operations. When the aircraft cannot physically see the parachute canopies, the aircraft can still locate the ParaDrop Operation Transponder (100) location on their traffic in-cockpit screens in real time. The GPS transponder (700) within the device is an ADS-B/Mode-S out device that enables the aerial jumper (90) to be detected by Secondary Surveillance Radar (SSR), Traffic Collision Avoidance Systems (TCAS), and ADS-B IN receivers.

  • Publication number: 20250258505
Abstract: A system and method for operation of an autonomous vehicle (AV) yard truck is provided. A processor facilitates autonomous movement of the AV yard truck, and connection to and disconnection from trailers. A plurality of sensors are interconnected with the processor that sense terrain/objects and assist in automatically connecting/disconnecting trailers. A server, interconnected, wirelessly with the processor, that tracks movement of the truck around and determines locations for trailer connection and disconnection. A door station unlatches/opens rear doors of the trailer when adjacent thereto, securing them in an opened position via clamps, etc. The system computes a height of the trailer, and/or if landing gear of the trailer is on the ground and interoperates with the fifth wheel to change height, and whether docking is safe, allowing a user to take manual control, and optimum charge time(s). Reversing sensors/safety, automated chocking, and intermodal container organization are also provided.
