  • Patent number: 11971114
Abstract: A solenoid adapter for a solenoid valve that permits use of different solenoids with different solenoid bowls is provided. Specifically, a reverse flow solenoid adapter enables use of a reverse flow solenoid with a forward flow solenoid bowl, while a forward flow solenoid adapter enables use of a forward flow solenoid with a reverse flow solenoid bowl. The adapters include a lower section to mount into a valve solenoid bowl, an upper portion including an adapter solenoid chamber to receive a solenoid, and flow-reversing passages that duct a vent passage flow path from the valve solenoid bowl to the adapter solenoid chamber such that the flow path transitions from a flow configuration of the valve solenoid bowl to a flow configuration required for the solenoid to function and returns to the flow configuration of the valve solenoid bowl as the path circulates back to the valve solenoid bowl.

  • Publication number: 20240074541
Abstract: According to an embodiment, a device for tightening an article includes a housing, a spool rotatably positioned within the housing, a knob operably coupled with the spool to cause the spool to rotate within the housing, and a stop mechanism. The device is configured so that incremental rotation of the knob in a first direction causes a corresponding incremental rotation of the spool within the housing that incrementally tensions a tension member and thereby tightens the article. The device is also configured so that incremental rotation of the knob in a second direction causes a corresponding incremental rotation of the spool that incrementally loosens the tension member's tension. The stop mechanism is configured to prevent rotation of the spool in the second direction when the tension member's tension achieves or falls below a tension threshold.

  • Patent number: 9630594
Abstract: A materials removal assembly for clearing materials from a horizontal surface, such as for removing snow or precipitation from a top surface on a vehicle. The assembly has a beam; a first coupling connected to a first end of the beam; a second coupling connected to the first coupling; and a blade assembly connected to the second coupling. The first coupling permits rotation of the second coupling and the blade assembly above and below a longitudinal axis of the beam. The second coupling permits rotation of the blade assembly about a first vertical axis transverse to the longitudinal axis of the beam. In one embodiment, movement of the materials removal assembly causes rotation of the blade assembly and movement of the materials to a side of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20020070428
Abstract: A semiconductor device comprises means (7) for grading an electric field created in the active part (4) of the device when a high voltage is applied thereacross. Said means comprises a member (7) being of a material having a higher dielectric constant than the material of said active part and applied next to at least a portion of said active part where a high electric field occurs when a high voltage is applied across the device for obtaining a field grading for a condition of changing of said voltage.

  • Patent number: 6263124
Abstract: A photoconductive switch comprises a first layer (1), two contact layers (2, 3) arranged on said first layer and connectable to different potentials for applying a voltage thereacross, said first layer being adapted to be conducting upon applying a voltage across said contact layers when exposed to light from an illumination source of an energy high enough for lifting charge carriers from the valence band to the conduction band of the material of said first layer. The illumination source is an excimer lamp, in which unstable electronically excited dimers are formed when a voltage is applied across first and second electrodes (12, 13) separated by a gas or gas mixture. The dimers so formed decompose into two gas atoms while emitting a photon of an energy suitable for lifting charge carriers from the valence band to the conduction band of the material of the first layer.
