  • Patent number: 7860752
Abstract: This document describes, among other things, systems and methods for measuring reputation using take volume. A method comprises determining a take amount related to a transaction in which a user participated; accumulating the take amount with a total take amount accumulated from one or more other transactions; determining feedback related to the transaction; accumulating the take amount with a total positive take amount when the feedback is positive feedback; and including the total positive take amount in reputation information related to the user.

  • Publication number: 20100235280
Abstract: A method and system to verify a transaction are described. The system may include an escrow module to receive funds from a client, a communication module to receive a request from the provider to redeem a provider set of tokens, and a redemption module to selectively redeem the provider set of tokens. The funds received by the escrow module are associated with a transaction between the client and a provider. The redemption module may be configured to examine the provider set of tokens and selectively redeem the provider set of tokens based on the results of the examination.

  • Patent number: 7725403
Abstract: A method and system to verify a transaction are described. The system may include a token generator to issue a client set of tokens to a client, a token verification list generator to issue a verification set of tokens to a provider, a communication module to receive a request from the provider to redeem a provider set of tokens, and a redemption module. The redemption module may be configured to compare the provider set of tokens with the client set of tokens and to selectively redeem the provider set of tokens based on the results of the comparison.

  • Patent number: 7565634
Abstract: The application concerns prototyped custom Programmable Logic Devices (Pills) for Boolean satisfiability (SAT) problems. This approach is based on the use of clause evaluation circuits (CECs), which indicate whether or not a single variable of the clause is asserted by the clause, and variable evaluation circuits (VECs), which identify the asserted variable of a clause having exactly one variable asserted by the clause. Scaling is provided by the use of partial CEC and VEC circuits.

  • Publication number: 20010025146
Abstract: Methods are provided for smoothing input signals having rapidly changing amplitudes, such as EMG signals from the tongue, which are detected by an intraoral device. One method calls for amplifying the EMG signals, converting the EMG signals to digital format, providing a moving average of the amplitudes of the EMG signals utilizing a moving the average processor, and windowing the averaged signals to discrete and stable amplitude levels. An adaptive moving average technique may be utilized, which includes a plurality of parallel moving average processes and a differentiator which determines which process is used, depending on the rate of change of the signal amplitude. Another method calls for the use of a plurality of moving average processes in series which calculate the moving average of the same number of signals as a single moving average process, but has a faster response time. An intraoral device is used to detect the EMG signals. The intraoral device includes acrylic maxillary and mandibular splints.
